Adelaide Metro
Pay for your daily commute or explore the city with Adelaide Metro Tap and Pay available on all buses, trains and trams. Tapping your American Express Card, a smartphone, smartwatch, or smart device when boarding at a smart validator allows you to travel for the same regular fare as a metroCARD. All you’ve got to do is tap on the reader at the start of your journey when you travel on an eligible train, tram or bus.

You can use your American Express Card on public transport on the Opal and Adelaide Metro networks. This includes all eligible trains, buses, metro, rail services, ferries and light rail services across New South Wales and South Australia.
