Frequently Asked Questions
Whether it’s shopping, dining, travel or entertainment, there’s an Amex Offer with your name on it. From credits on your Account to bonus points, eligible Card Members can be rewarded in many ways, just by using their Card.
Eligible Cards may vary from offer to offer, so you’ll need to check the Offer Terms. If you have a bank issued American Express Card, click here to find specific FAQs for your Card.
The following Cards are not eligible for Amex Offers at any time:
- American Express Business Travel Accounts.
- Government Cards. Corporate Purchasing Cards.
- Corporate Meeting Cards.
- Corporate Cards.
- Prepaid Cards.
Yes.
Yes, any Amex Offers available for your additional Card Member will display in their Amex AU mobile app or their online Account. If your additional Card Member does not have an online Account, they can create one by following the instructions here.
By receiving our Amex Offers emails. Make sure you are opted in to receive marketing communications from American Express. You can do this by going to your online Account here, selecting the ‘Profile & Preferences’ tab and then ‘Communication Preferences’ to opt in to receive marketing communications.
Yes, provided the participating location accepts contactless payments. You still need to enrol your Card and pay using the same enrolled Card on your mobile wallet.
If you have an eligible Card and your account is in good standing, any Amex Offers available for your Card will display in the Amex AU mobile app or your online Account. Remember, all Amex Offers are subject to an enrolment cap - as soon as the cap is reached, the offer will no longer display.

You can save Amex Offers from the Amex AU mobile app, or your online Account:
- Amex AU mobile app: Tap the “Offers” button found in the App menu and select the Amex Offers you want to save to your Card.
- Online Account: Log in to your online Account, find the Amex Offers you want to save to your Card and click “Save to Card”.
You can check in your online Account, within the “Saved” offer section, or you can check in the Amex AU mobile app within the “Offers” section.
If you are issued a replacement Card with a new Card number, your participation in the previously saved offer may end and subject to offer availability, you will need to save the offer to your new Card. If you have already met the spend criteria, you will receive your credit or bonus points in accordance with the Offer Terms.
If your Card Account is cancelled during the offer period, your participation in the offer will end and you will not receive the credit, even if you met all the spend requirements.
Once you meet the spend requirement of the offer, credits or points should be credited to your account within 5 business days, however this can take up to 90 days from the date the Amex Offer ends.
If credits or points do not appear within 90 days of the Amex Offer ending, you should check that you:
- Used the same American Express Card that you saved the Amex Offer to.
- Met the purchase requirements (i.e. spent the required amount or number of purchases).
- Made your purchase(s) before the Amex Offer expired.
- Made the purchase(s) at an eligible location (online, in-store, participating location, etc.).
- Did not cancel your purchase, return purchased items or receive a refund for your purchase.
- If you think there is a problem at our end, you can call the number on the back of your Card to speak with a Customer Care Professional.
If you make a purchase that is cancelled or refunded, that purchase will no longer meet the spend requirement of the Amex Offer. If you have already redeemed the Amex Offer and received a credit or points from us, we may reverse the credit or points.
No. In order to get the credit or points, you must make the purchase using the same Card that you saved the Amex Offer to.
No. You must save the Amex Offer to your Card first and then make your purchase using that Card.
No. Transactions processed through a third party establishment or payment processor or with other third parties where the individual merchant details are not shared with American Express, will not be eligible and will not count towards your spend for the purposes of the offer.
Yes. Each Amex Offer is subject to an enrolment cap and you can only enrol in an individual Amex Offer once. However, there is no restriction on the number of different Amex Offers you can enrol in so you can maximise credits and points at a range of different merchants through multiple Amex Offers.
