1. Subject to approval. Account must be in good standing. You, the Basic Cardmember, will be liable for all charges to a Supplementary Card. An Additional Card is a Supplementary Card. No annual fee for one Supplementary Gold Rewards Card. Each Supplementary Card added thereafter $50 annually. Supplementary Cardmembers must be at least 13 years old. Maximum of 9 supplementary Cards per account.
2. Provided your account is in good standing, points can be earned on eligible purchases less returns and other credits. Interest charges, fees and cash equivalent transactions are not purchases and do not qualify for points.
3. This offer is only available to Cardmembers who received this offer directly from American Express. Offer is non-transferable and should not be forwarded. Cannot be combined with other Additional Card offers. If you receive points in error, we reserve the right to deduct them from your points balance. An Additional Card is a Supplementary Card. All references to you means the Basic Cardmember. You must add a Supplementary Gold Rewards Card to your account between March 3, 2026 and April 30, 2026 to qualify for one (1) of the offers listed below.
   When the new Supplementary Gold Rewards Cardmember has at least $3,000 in net purchases posted to their Supplementary Gold Rewards Card within the first 3 months after Card approval, you can earn 5,000 bonus points; or 
   When the new Supplementary Gold Rewards Cardmember has at least $4,000 in net purchases posted to their Supplementary Gold Rewards Card within the first 3 months after Card approval, you can earn 7,500 bonus points; or 
   When the new Supplementary Gold Rewards Cardmember has at least $5,000 in net purchases posted to their Supplementary Gold Rewards Card within the first 3 months after Card approval, you can earn 10,000 bonus points.
   You can receive only one offer per new Supplementary Card, up to a maximum of two offers for the first two new Supplementary Cards added during the offer period. If you qualify, bonus points will be awarded only on the first 2 new Supplementary Cards added to your account during the offer period. You can be eligible to earn up to a total maximum of 20,000 bonus Membership Rewards^® points for two Supplementary Gold Rewards Cards during the offer period. American Express reserves the right to approve additional Supplementary Card applications, but you will not be eligible for this offer once you have reached the maximum of two Supplementary Cards. Purchases made on your Basic Card are not qualifying purchases.
   Bonus points can be earned on eligible purchases less returns and other credits. Interest charges, annual fees, other fees and cash equivalent transactions are not purchases and do not qualify for the offer. All deductions for returns made on eligible purchases will be calculated at the earn rate in effect at the time of the return. This means that the points deducted from your points balance may be different from the amount originally earned.
   You must apply for a Supplementary Card through the link provided on this page or by calling 1-800-869-3016. Account must be in good standing during offer period and at time of offer fulfillment. If we determine you have engaged in any abuse related to the offer and/or program, we reserve the right to forgo issuing the bonus points, deduct it from your account, and/or cancel your basic account and you will not be eligible for a fee refund. Abuse can include but is not limited to, applying for multiple cards to earn points, applying for a Card under your own name, a false name or date of birth, cancelling your existing Supplementary Card(s) to take advantage of this offer, or booking travel or any other purchases to meet the spend requirement and cancelling/refunding later. We may ask to provide ID proof associated with the Supplementary Card member at any point of time. Bonus points will be credited to your Membership Rewards account by September 8, 2026.
4. You can earn 2 Membership Rewards points (“points”) for every $1 in eligible consumer purchases at American Express retail merchants as follows: (i) at stand-alone automobile gasoline stations in Canada, (ii) at stand-alone drugstores in Canada, (iii) at stand-alone grocery stores in Canada, and (iv) for travel services or travel bookings including air, water, rail and road transport, lodging and tour operator sales but not including local and commuter transportation. Purchases at merchants where gas, grocery, pharmacy and travel sales are not their primary business (including superstores, wholesale clubs, alcohol retailers and general merchandise retailers) do not qualify for the earn rate in this category. Merchants are typically assigned codes and categorized based on what they sell. Earn rate of 1 point for every $1 applies if the merchant code is not in an eligible category or is not made directly from the provider of the good or service, e.g. through a third party or by using a mobile device (e.g. smart phone) with an attached card reader. Provided your account is in good standing, points can be earned on eligible purchases less returns and other credits. Interest charges, annual fees, other fees and cash equivalent transactions are not purchases and do not qualify for Membership Rewards points.
5. Basic Cardmembers can earn one additional bonus Membership Rewards point for every dollar charged to your American Express Gold Rewards Card for eligible hotel and car rental bookings (less credits and adjustments) made through the American Express Travel website where American Express Travel (not the hotel or car rental company) is the merchant. Hotel bookings under The Hotel Collection program are not eligible for this bonus Membership Rewards points offer. The number of bonus Membership Rewards points is calculated by multiplying each eligible transaction by one subject to rounding. Terms and Conditions of the Membership Rewards Program apply. In order to redeem points for any travel booking, the Membership Rewards Program account must be active and the Card must be in good standing.
6. You can redeem Membership Rewards points for a statement credit towards an Eligible Purchase charged to an Eligible Card. All Eligible Purchases: 1,000 points = $10 statement credit. You must redeem a minimum of 1,000 points per redemption. Eligible Purchases include purchases made at American Express merchants and charged to an Eligible Card. Funds advances, fees, balance transfers, Amex cheques and charges for travellers cheques are not Eligible Purchases. American Express may make changes to the types of purchases that are eligible for redemption with Use Points for Purchases at any time without notice. Eligible Cards are Consumer and Small Business Cards enrolled in the Membership Rewards program. Statement credits on your Card Account should not exceed the aggregate amount of the Eligible Purchase(s) on your Eligible Card. You can register for Online Services to view your Eligible Purchases and to redeem online. Only Eligible Purchases posted to your Card Account during the last 3 months, up to 150 most recent Eligible Purchases, will be displayed for redemption. If you wish to redeem points towards an Eligible Purchase within the last 12 months that is not displayed online, please contact us at the number listed on the back of your Card.

7. Merchandise Availability: All merchandise rewards are subject to availability. If an order is not available, a similar item of equal value or greater will be substituted whenever possible. If a substitution is not available, your Membership Rewards points will be credited back to your program account and you will be contacted. Merchandise rewards are subject to change without notice. New merchandise rewards will be added to the program on a regular basis. Some rewards are available in limited quantities. Limited items will be noted in the product description.  
   Merchandise Delivery: Please allow 2-4 weeks for delivery. Cardmembers are required to provide a signature when rewards are delivered. Some items may have longer delivery times—this will be indicated. Orders are shipped via courier and require complete mailing address and telephone number for daytime delivery. (Orders cannot be shipped to a post office box.)  
   Merchandise Returns: Redeemed rewards are not refundable, exchangeable, replaceable or transferable for cash or credit.
8. Membership Rewards points can be redeemed for Gift Cards or certificates and other merchandise. The Gift Card or Certificate is subject to the Terms and Conditions indicated on the reward.
9. The Hotel Collection Terms and Conditions: Valid at participating hotels for new bookings of at least two consecutive nights made through Platinum Card Travel Service, Personalized Travel Service, Centurion Travel, americanexpress.ca/travel or americanexpress.ca/thc. Payment must be made in full with an eligible American Express Card in the Canadian Platinum, Canadian Gold Rewards, Canadian Cobalt, Canadian Business Platinum, Canadian Business Gold Rewards, or Canadian Centurion Cardmember’s name at time of checkout. The Platinum, Gold Rewards, Cobalt, Business Platinum, Business Gold Rewards, or Centurion Cardmember must travel on the itinerary booked. (1) The Cardmember will receive the $100 USD credit as deduction from the final hotel bill when checking out of the hotel; $100 USD. Amenities vary by property and facilities available. To receive the credit, the eligible spend must be charged to your hotel room and the credit will be applied at check-out. Charges must be charged to the room and exclude charges for taxes, gratuities, fees and cost of room. Additional exclusions based on specific hotel restriction may also apply including without limitation purchases within the hotel that are unaffiliated and/or owned by third parties –  see hotel front desk for details. Credit must be used in conjunction with initial stay and cannot be carried over to another stay. Offer is not redeemable for cash and expires at check-out. Credit is non-exchangeable and non-refundable and is applied in USD or equivalent in local currency based on exchange rate on day of arrival. May not be combined with other offer or programs unless indicated. Limit one credit per room, per stay. (2) A one category room upgrade is based on availability and eligibility at check-in to the hotel. 12pm check-in and late check-out are based on availability and eligibility at check-in to the hotel. Three-room limit per Cardmember per stay. Back-to-back stays booked by a single Cardmember, Cardmembers staying in the same room or Cardmembers travelling in the same party within a 24-hour period at the same property are considered one stay and are ineligible for additional THC benefits (“Prohibited Action”). American Express and the Property reserve the right to modify or revoke the THC benefits at any time without notice if we or they determine, in our or their sole discretion, that you may have engaged in a Prohibited Action, or have engaged in abuse, misuse, or gaming in connection with your THC benefits. While every effort is taken to ensure hotel inventory, benefits, and offers remain accurate, prices and availability may change at any time, and are dependent on third party inventory. Hotel pricing, benefits, offers, and availability are not guaranteed until the receipt of your booking confirmation email. Hotel bookings and associated benefits and offers are subject to availability and respective cancellation policies of the hotel. The respective hotel is responsible for the fulfilment of eligible benefits and offers. You can view the hotel’s cancellation policy when you review your itinerary prior to check-out. 10. Terms and conditions, rental location and rental vehicle exclusions apply. Discount available on the best prepaid and non-prepaid retail rates and it applies to time, mileage and all mandatory insurance and waivers included in the base rate (excludes Dream Collection, Supercars, Vans and other commercial vehicles). One car class upgrade is available on standard vehicles only, excluding Hertz Collections (Vans, and all Collection cars, Green/Fun/Prestige/Family/Dream/Supercar vehicles), on rentals of five consecutive days or more and is applicable in all participating destinations excluding Japan and is subject to availability. Standard Blackout dates apply – visit hertz.com/AmexBenefits for full terms and conditions. Fee will be waived for one (1) additional driver providing the additional driver is listed on the rental agreement and meets the required driving credentials for the country where the vehicle is rented. The following countries and/or Hertz locations are excluded from the list of Participating Destinations: India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Taiwan rental locations. Rentals within Japan are eligible for up to a 5% discount and one complimentary additional driver, but no vehicle upgrade will apply. Gold Plus Rewards^® enrolment is required to enjoy all benefits. Hertz standard terms and conditions of rental apply. American Express reserves the right to instruct Hertz to cancel your membership if you cease to be an American Express Cardmember or your account is not in good standing. Hertz Benefit only valid if rental paid for using an eligible American Express Card and when the Gold Plus Rewards membership number is provided at time of booking at Hertz locations or hertz.com. The promotional CDP #705500 for the Hertz American Express benefits must be included as part of the Cardmember’s Gold Plus Rewards membership. Rentals are subject to Hertz terms and conditions. Third party bookings through Tour Operators or Online Travel Agencies, including Amex Travel Online are not eligible for Hertz benefits.
11. Purchase must be charged in full to an American Express Card. Subject to availability and to event and ticketing terms, restrictions, verification procedures and fees. Tickets and packages may not be transferable and should not be resold. No refunds and no exchanges subject to merchant's obligations under applicable law.
12. Available to American Express Consumer and Small Business Cards. Not applicable for all new purchases. The following purchases do not qualify and will still be processed even if the Cardmember has frozen the Card: automated or pre-authorized payments, recurring bills or subscriptions, transactions on any Supplementary Cards if only the Basic Card is frozen (each Supplementary Card must be frozen separately), mobile wallet transactions (including adding a Card to a mobile wallet), using the Card for online payments at merchants where the Card is stored on file or set up as the method of payment, and offline and delayed authorizations (such as purchases made aboard airlines). After freezing the Card, it will automatically unfreeze after 7 days.
