Shop confidently when you use mobile wallets with your American Express Card
1. Security features on your eligible device
Biometric data, like a fingerprint or face recognition, or a PIN helps prevent your device from being used without your authorization.
2. Encrypted details
Your Card details are never stored on your device.
3. Amex authentication
We have intelligent security systems in place to help protect your Card from fraud, and will automatically contact you whenever a questionable transaction is detected on your Account through our fraud alerts. Find out here how to set them up.
4. Fraud protection
Use the American Express Card online or off, and you won’t be held responsible for any fraudulent charges, as long as you’ve taken reasonable care to protect your account details, PIN and any device on which you have added your account information. Notify us at once if your Card or eligible device is lost or stolen, or you suspect it is being used without your permission.
Lost or stolen Card?
Let us know immediately if you’ve lost your Card, or think it may be stolen. We’ll arrange a new Card for you as quickly as possible. If your device has been set up to take mobile payments, you don’t need to wait for a new Card to arrive. Your Card details on your mobile wallet are updated, so you can continue using mobile payments.

If your mobile device is lost or gets stolen, call us immediately at the number on the back of your Card.
