  • 1. How do I earn points?

    You earn Membership Rewards points for virtually every dollar you spend on your Card. Simply charge your everyday purchases to your American Express Card and watch your points add up*.

    Earn Bonus Points and shop with our Bonus Partners. By shopping at one of our Bonus Partners with your American Express Card, you won't just earn Membership Rewards points, you'll earn Bonus Points too.

    Increase your points balance by adding Supplementary Credit Cards. You'll earn Membership Rewards points with all transactions made on the Supplementary Card. Cardmembers will also share the services and privelleges American Express membership offers.

  • 2. How can I earn points quickly?

    Simply follow these four easy steps:

    1) Remember to use your Card everyday for everything from petrol for your car to magazine subscriptions to eating out. Your points will soon grow.

    2) Use your Card for high value purchases such as travel and your points will grow even faster.

    3) Shop with our Bonus Partners and earn Bonus Points on top of your normal Membership Rewards points.

    4) Add Supplementary Cards to your account and you will earn points on those Cards too. For more information or to request a Supplementary Card application, call 1300 363 687.

  • 3. Does Membership Rewards have Bonus Partners so I can earn points faster?

    Yes we do. You can experience new and exciting offers from our Bonus Partners, and you'll enjoy the travel rewards, shopping rewards and entertainment rewards you deserve even sooner. That's because you'll earn Bonus Points on top of the Membership Rewards points you already receive for every dollar spent on your American Express Card#.

  • 4. If I don’t have enough points can I buy them?

    You can top up your balance and buy points at a rate of $25.00 per 1,000 points when redeeming merchandise, gift cards or our transfer partners*.

  • 5. Why does my points balance not reflect what I spent in that statement?

    This is because your Membership Rewards statement cuts off 4-6 days prior to your Card statement. So, if there are charges on the account after the statement cut off, they will be reflected in your next Membership Rewards statement or click here for your up to date balance.

  • 6. I have two Cards that are eligible for Membership Rewards. Can I link them together and pool my points?

    Only eligible accounts which are enrolled in the same program option may be linked.

  • 7. Can I enrol my Corporate Card into the Membership Rewards program?

    Yes, provided your company allows it. Only individual Cardmembers, not companies, may participate in the program. As an individual Cardmember, you will earn points automatically whenever you use your Card.
