Gift Cards and vouchers will be dispatched within 3 business days from the date you placed your order. Should you not receive your Gift Card or reward within the stated timeframe, you must advise American Express within 28 days from date of redemption in order to claim your reward. Claims made after 28 days will not be investigated or processed. Unless otherwise advised, rewards will be delivered to your statement address. If you’d prefer delivery to a business address, please include the business name when placing your order. Gift Card orders over the value of $2,000 can’t be delivered to a PO box as they will be sent via courier. Please provide a home address, or a work address that includes a business name for courier purposes. Rewards will be delivered between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. If no one is home, a calling card will be left so you are able to collect from your local post office. Please note that rewards cannot be delivered outside Australia. You can track the status of your order in the 'My Redemptions' page in your Membership Rewards online account.
Points for Credit on your Card
Points may be redeemed by the Basic Card Member for a credit on the Primary Card Account (the Card which your Membership Rewards points balance appears online). American Express may decline a Points for Credit request where the Card Account or Card Member’s other accounts with American Express are not in good standing. The redemption of Points for Credit will be administered solely by American Express within 3 business days and cannot be reversed. Redeeming Points for Credit is not available for redemption by Corporate Card accounts and is not redeemable for cash via Credit balance refund.
David Jones Shop with Points
For Standard deliveries, David Jones will endeavour to despatch merchandise within one business day from your order date or you can choose to delay the delivery date on your order (weekends and public holidays excluded).
For deliveries nationwide, Standard Delivery is the most economical delivery option. Your parcel should reach you within 3-7 business days from the David Jones Fulfilment Centre in Sydney. Deliveries to regional areas may take longer.
NOTE: Only Standard Delivery or Standard Bulky Delivery is available for orders that are delivered direct from the manufacturer.
Products shipped directly from our manufacturers are not eligible for Sydney Same Day or National Express Delivery. Items shipped from manufacturers’ warehouses will be shipped within 2-4 business days. When you reach the checkout, you will be given an estimated delivery date based on the delivery postcode you provide.
The recipient, or anyone authorised to accept the goods on their behalf, must be present when the order is delivered unless you have selected Unattended Delivery and provided instructions where we can leave your purchase in a secure location at your property or with a neighbour. If you have not selected Unattended Delivery and there is no one at the address to receive the order, a calling card will be left for you to collect the order from Australia Post. Orders delivered via Sydney Same Day are ineligible for Unattended Delivery.
