Flight Delay Insurance^17†

Coverage for when your flight is delayed or you are denied boarding for up to 4 hours or more and no alternate transportation is made available. When you charge your airline tickets to your Card, you could receive up to $1,000 (combined maximum with Baggage Delay Insurance) for necessary and reasonable accommodations, restaurant expenses, and essential items purchased within the period of the flight delay or denied boarding.

Car Rental Theft and Damage Insurance^17†

You could be covered in the event of the theft, loss, and/or damage of your rental auto with a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price of up to $85,000 for rentals of 48 days or less. To use this protection, be sure to charge the full cost of your rental to your Card and decline the Collision Damage Waiver, Loss Damage Waiver, or similar option offered by the rental agency.

Mobile Device Insurance^17†

You could be covered for up to $1,500 per insured person in the event of the theft, loss, or accidental damage of your mobile device anywhere in the world. Simply charge or finance the eligible device to your Card. Coverage begins on the date of the first transaction related to the purchase, or on the 91st day following the purchase (to avoid overlap with the 90-day coverage available to you under your Purchase Protection® Plan) and lasts for a maximum of 2 years from the date of purchase.

Yes. The Business Platinum Card provides access to a global network of airport lounges through the American Express Global Lounge Collection®. This includes The Centurion ® Lounges, Plaza Premium Lounges, Priority Pass™ lounges and other partner lounges. Access eligibility and entry requirements vary by lounge.

Complimentary access to Plaza Premium and Priority Pass lounges is changing.

Effective, January 1, 2027, Platinum Cardmembers will receive a limited number of complimentary visits to Plaza Premium and Priority Pass lounges each year. Access to other lounges in the Global Lounge Collection remains unlimited.

Starting in January 2026, we’ll begin tracking your annual spend to determine eligibility to unlock unlimited lounge access in 2027. If you don’t reach $20,000 in spend during 2026 you can unlock unlimited lounge visits to Plaza Premium and Priority Pass lounges by reaching $20,000 in eligible spend on your account within the calendar year. Once that spend level is reached, unlimited access will be active for the rest of that year and the following calendar year.
