The American Express Corporate Purchasing Card does more than just facilitate business spending. It also eliminates the need for purchase orders, invoices and paper checks, so your AP department can save valuable time while your suppliers enjoy the ease of electronic payments.◆

You can also choose to integrate our payment rails into your business via third party partners that offer “plug and play” or add-on capabilities to make Amex payments out of your existing ERP system. Users may be required to enroll their eligible American Express Business, Corporate or Corporate Purchasing Card for virtual payments on the American Express B2B Payments Card Enrollment portal. For third party partner solutions, users must sign up with one of our participating financial software providers and are subject to their terms. Fees may apply. To learn more, please contact your American Express representative. Customers may be required to download a third-party plug-in to enable integration with their ERP/accounting system. Onboarding timelines for virtual Card capabilities available on American Express One AP® may vary.
American Express offers the option to use vPayment, a virtual payment solution that assigns a virtual Card to each transaction. Users are also able to set a specific payment amount, date range, and transaction details to help control spend and facilitate reconciliation processes. Use of vPayment is subject to application approval. Upon approval, additional enrollment or technical implementation may be required for select functionality. The American Express Corporate Card Program offers both combined lability and corporate liability structures. If your company is approved for corporate liability, your company is responsible for all charges. If your company is approved for combined liability, both your company and the individual Card Member are responsible for charges incurred on the individual Card Member account.
With Combined Liability, the company in whose name the Corporate Card Program was opened and the individual Card Member in whose name a Corporate Card was issued are jointly a severally liable for amounts due in connection with charges incurred by the Card Member on their Card account (with some exceptions, such as for cash advances or charges that were reimbursed to the Card Member or personal in nature).
With Corporate Liability (sometimes referred to as Full Corporate Liability), the company in whose name the Corporate Card Program was opened (and not the individual Card Members) is liable for all amounts due in connection with that Corporate Program, including, without limitation all charges made using any Card issued under that Corporate Program.

Solutions can be integrated with ERP systems via APIs or flat files which can be generated by the ERP.
Membership Rewards
Not all Cards are eligible to get rewards. Terms and limitations vary by Card type.
Corporate Purchasing Card
Annual Membership Fee (billed to the Card Member’s account annually): $0
Foreign Transaction Fee: 2.5% of each transaction after conversion to U.S. dollars.
Late Payment Fee: $29.00 or 2.99% of any past due Pay in Full amount, whichever is greater.
Administrative Suspense Fee (90 days past due and charge privileges suspended): $25.00
Reinstatement Fee (if Card is cancelled due to non-payment ): $25.00
The Corporate Purchasing Card may be used solely for commercial business purposes and in accordance with your Company’s policy. Unless required by law, American Express is not responsible for any problems with goods or services you charge on the Corporate Purchasing Card. You or American Express may elect to resolve any claim by individual arbitration, in which case the other party may not litigate that claim in court or have a jury trial on that claim. American Express may revoke your right to use the Corporate Purchasing Card at any time, with or without cause, and without giving you notice. American Express Travel Related Services Company, Inc.
