Tim Berry

Founder and Chairman

Palo Alto Software, Inc.

Founder and chairman of Palo Alto Software, founder of bplans.com, co-founder of Borland International, Stanford MBA, author of books and software on business planning. I also taught entrepreneurship one course per year at the University of Oregon for 11 years and I am a frequent speaker on topics of business planning and entrepreneurship. I changed my job a few years ago. Sabrina Parsons is running the company now as CEO, and I'm blogging, writing books, speaking, and teaching. My latest effort is a new startup offering social media business planning for entrepreneurs, business owners, and marketers. Eugene Social's website is at http://havepresence.com. Also, looking at mobile apps, which is apps37.com. My blog is Planning Startups Stories at http://timberry.bplans.com. I also do a monthly column on the entrepreneur.com site, and additional blog posts at Huffington Post, Amex OPEN forum, Small Business Trends, and Up and Running. I consolidate all my blog posts in one place at blog.timberry.com. I'm the author of books including Lean Business Planning, published by Motivational Press in 2015; and The Plan-As-You-Go Business Plan and 3 Weeks to Startup, both published by Entrepreneur Press in 2008. Specialties: Business planning, entrepreneurship, small business management, family business, blogging.
