Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge | Vancouver Island, Canada
Seaplane or boat are the only ways to reach this magical retreat amid 600 acres of untouched wilderness along the Clayoquot Sound on Vancouver Island. This unique boutique hotel—once a 19th-century church and school complex—is in Marigny, a bohemian neighborhood just a few minutes’ drive from the French Quarter. This illustrious Park Avenue hotel is reopening its doors to great anticipation after an extensive, multi-billion-dollar renovation and restoration project spanning almost 10 years. A New York City landmark since 1931, the Art Deco-style hotel received a glamorous facelift that included the careful restoration of century-old murals (sourced from the original Waldorf location near the Empire State Building) that now decorate the Park Ave property’s halls. Iconic spaces like the Grand Ballroom received subtle modern upgrades that don’t compromise their original grandeur.
Warren Street Hotel | New York, NY
A boutique hotel in the heart of Tribeca, Warren Street Hotel brings a distinctly artistic sensibility to trendy downtown Manhattan—and offers a rooftop terrace for soaking up the skyline. The hotel exhibits more than 700 specially commissioned art pieces, from embroidered headboards to unique sculptures and paintings.
