WHY?	Financial companies choose how they share your personal information. Federal law gives consumers the right to limit some but not all sharing. Federal law also requires us to tell you how we collect, share, and protect your personal information. Please read this notice carefully to understand what we do.
WHAT?	The types of personal information we collect and share depend on the product or service you have with us. This information can include: Account balances and account transactions Transaction history and purchase history
HOW?	All financial companies need to share customers’ personal information to run their everyday business. In the section below, we list the reasons financial companies can share their customers’ personal information; the reasons Plenti chooses to share; and whether you can limit this sharing.

Please note: If you are a new customer, we can begin sharing your personal information with Affilates 30 days from the date we sent this notice. When you are no longer our customer, we continue to share your personal information as described in this notice. However, you can contact us at any time to limit our sharing. You may withdraw your consent to share registration information with sponsors at any time after you enroll to become a Plenti member. “Registration Information” is the personal information you provide to join Plenti, such as your salutation, name, date of birth, and contact information. “Sponsors” whom we may also refer to as 'Partners' are retail and service companies participating in Plenti, which may change from time to time. You can find a list of sponsors at plenti.com/partners.

To limit direct marketing

We provide additional privacy choices to customers. Privacy elections you make for any one product or service may not automatically be applied to other products and services. To let us know if you do not want us to use your personal information to communicate with you about offers by mail, telephone, and/or e-mail

What we do
How does Plenti protect my personal information?	To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings.
How does Plenti collect my personal information?	We collect your personal information, for example, when you open an account or provide account information give us your contact information make deposits or withdrawls from your account We also collect your personal information from others, such as affiliates, or other companies.
Why can’t I limit all sharing of personal information?	Federal law gives you the right to limit only sharing for affiliates' everyday business purposes - information about your creditworthiness affiliates from using your information to market to you sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you State laws and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing. See below for more on your rights under state law.
What happens when I limit sharing for an account I hold jointly with someone else?	Your choices will apply solely to the information associated with your individual Plenti account even if you decide to pool your points with other Plenti members in a shared account.

Definitions

Affiliates

Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

Our affiliates include companies with the American Express name, including financial companies such as American Express Centurion Bank and American Express Bank, FSB and others, such as Serve Virtual Enterprises, Inc. and AMEX Assurance Company, a provider of American Express Card-related insurance services.

Joint marketing

A formal agreement between nonaffiliated companies that together market financial products or services to you.

Our joint marketing partners include financial companies.

Nonaffiliates

Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

Plenti generally does not share information with nonaffiliates so they can market to you. However, we may share your registration information at your direction or with your consent with Plenti sponsors in connection with Plenti.

Other important information

We may transfer personal information to other countries, for example, for customer service or to process transactions.

California:

If your Plenti account has a California address, we will not share your personal information except to the extent permitted under California law.

Vermont:

If your Plenti account has a Vermont address, we will automatically treat your account as if you have directed us not to share information about your creditworthiness with our Affiliates.
