The Centurion® Lounge at Sydney International Airport is located in Terminal 1 after passing through security, near Gates 50-63, Departures.
To access, take the escalator or lift down to Level 1 and simply present your physical eligible American Express Card at the front desk.
Hours: 6am – 9pm, 7 days a week.

An Exclusive Artwork by Blak Douglas
As you enter and exit The Centurion Lounge Sydney you will be greeted by the remarkable and exclusive works of Blak Douglas, The Sky’s the Spirit.
Blak Douglas was the winner of the 2022 Archibald Prize and is well known for his bold, vibrant, political and poetic paintings combining Aboriginal and Western art techniques to create a style that is unique and instantly recognisable.
His work portrays members of his community and ancient symbols, revealing a deep understanding of the Australian landscape and its people.
About the Artwork
The Sky’s the Spirit, 2022
This work features several symbolic images, looming 'flat bottom' clouds, a bold yellow sun that Blak Douglas said comes from the Grandfather Spirit, and seven streaks in the sky to represent the Seven Sisters dreaming.
Consistent with a signature practice of Blak Douglas that uses the custom stylising of standard Australian road signage, this piece acknowledges traditional custodians of the land with a street sign of a billowing Aboriginal Flag. The road sign stands as a European symbol of land ownership and control however here it references custodianship of the land – urging people to take care when on Country. Taking the time to acknowledge Country reminds us that every day we live, work, and dream on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander lands.
This work acts as a reminder to care for Country as you travel through, as you relax in the lounge and in your onwards journey. If you care for Country, it will care for you.
The sign stands as a symbol of the enduring custodianship of this land – signs may be put up but this always was and always will be Aboriginal Land.

Access to The Centurion® Lounge is exclusive to eligible Card Members as outlined below
American Express Centurion®, American Express® Platinum, American Express® Business Platinum and American Express® Corporate Platinum Card Members have unlimited access to The Centurion® Lounges for each American Express Card Account and are entitled to bring children 17 years of age or younger and up to two guests into the lounge.
All other eligible Card Members as outlined below are entitled to a total of two entries per calendar year (1 January to 31 December). The two entries may be used by the Primary Card Member, an Additional Card Member or a guest travelling with a Card Member. Complimentary access is offered to Card Member’s children aged 17 years or younger.
Card Members wishing to bring additional guests into the lounge will be subject to a charge that is to be processed on the Card Member's American Express Card. Please refer to the reception desk at The Centurion® Lounge for availability and applicable charges.
Entry is subject to space availability. Card Members must be at least 18 years of age to enter without a parent or guardian.
