You earn one Membership Rewards point for every eligible £1 you spend on your Card.
With Rewards-As-You-Go, you can also get 2,500 bonus points for every £5,000 of eligible spend on your Gold Card – up to five times per Card membership year.
Take this example. If you spend £25,000 during the year, you will get 37,500 reward points. That’s 12,500 bonus points, plus 25,000 from spending, or 1.5 points per £1.

How to maximise your points
You always earn at least one Membership Rewards point for every eligible £1 you spend on your Card. What’s more, you can earn x2 points on airline bookings and x3 points when you book with American Express Travel.
Plus you’ll receive 2,500 bonus points each time you spend £5,000 on your Card.
