Built with local stones and featuring fort-like doors of solid wood, the hotel is an extension of the surrounding environment. Rooms and suites include copper ornaments and handmade Omani pottery. Hand-painted juniper leaves adorn bedroom walls. Select suites offer private balconies or outdoor terraces with daybeds.
Juniper Restaurant serves dishes inspired by the golden age of Arabic cuisine, offering Middle Eastern and Mediterranean flavors. Guests can enjoy smaller bites and a refreshing drink at the Rose Lounge.
The outdoor heated infinity pool provides sweeping canyon views of the Al Hajar Mountains. Spa Alila offers two signature Mystical Mountain Experiences, one at sunrise and one at sunset, that can include a Tai Chi session, a river stone massage, and ground coffee exfoliation. The steam room features fragrances of juniper berry and frankincense.
Marked trails through the mountains allow guests to visit the agricultural village of Al Ayn and the abandoned village of Wadi Bani Habib. During spring, damask roses bloom on the mountainside terraces. Set up a telescope and stargaze on guided night sky telescope tours.
