Amex Offers Basics
Amex Offers is a program that gives eligible American Express® Card Members the opportunity to earn statement credits, Membership Rewards® points, and other rewards when shopping with participating brands. To redeem an offer, you must first add it to your eligible Card and then make a qualifying purchase with the participating merchant. Participation in Amex Offers is subject to the Amex Offers Program Terms, and the specific terms and conditions for each individual offer.
To redeem an Amex Offer, you must first add it to your eligible American Express® Card before making a qualifying purchase. Here's how to add an offer to your Card:
- Log in to your American Express account online or through the Amex® App.
- Navigate to the Amex Offers section.
- Select Add to Card (or tap the plus sign). Once the offer has been added to your eligible Card, use that same enrolled Card to make a qualifying purchase directly with the participating merchant.
Purchases must:
- Be made in U.S. dollars.
- Comply with all the terms of the offer, including (but not limited to) minimum spend requirements, purchase channel (online or in-store) and purchase by a certain date.
To view the offers available to you, log in to your American Express® account online or in the Amex App and check the Amex Offers section.
Amex Offers are dynamic and can change frequently. Some offers are available for a limited time or have limited enrollments available. If you didn't add the offer when you saw it, it may no longer be available due to expiration or reaching its enrollment limit. To avoid missing out, add offers to your Card as soon as you see one you're interested in. Once added, it will remain on your Card until it expires or is used, depending on the offer terms.

Using Offers
A qualifying purchase is a transaction made with your enrolled, eligible American Express® Card that meets all the terms of an offer. Terms can vary by offer, so it's important to read them carefully before you spend. Certain items (such as fees, interest charges, gift cards and other cash equivalents) are typically not considered qualifying purchases. Check the individual Offer's terms for details.
Only qualifying purchases made with the eligible enrolled Card for the Offer qualify. Transactions on another Card, even if it's on the same account, won't count toward qualifying purchases and won't earn rewards from Amex Offers.
Eligibility and Card Rules
Not all Card Members are eligible for Amex Offers. Eligibility depends on factors such as your Card type and account status. To view the offers available to you, log in to your American Express® account online or in the Amex App and check the Amex Offers section.
An Offer may only be added to one eligible Card. If you have multiple Cards and see an Offer available for enrollment on more than one Card, you must enroll in the Offer on the eligible Card you wish to use for the Offer.
Yes. Eligible Additional Card Members can add and redeem Amex Offers on their Cards, though availability may vary by Card. If both a Basic Card Member and an Additional Card Member are eligible and independently enroll in the same Offer, each Card Member may qualify for and receive the Offer reward on their enrolled Card. Transactions that qualify for an Offer redemption are tracked separately for each enrolled Card and will not be aggregated across Basic and Additional Cards to satisfy Offer requirements. Rewards will be applied to Basic Card Member's account.
It depends on the offer. Some Amex Offers can be redeemed multiple times, while others are valid for single use only. Always review the Offer's terms to confirm how many times it can be used.
Statement Credits, Timing, and Tracking
When you make a qualifying purchase and redeem an Amex Offer, you will see a statement credit for the amount earned on your recent transactions. Please allow 90 days after the Offer expiration date for statement credit(s) to be posted to the account, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant.
Yes, Amex Offers expire. Each Amex Offer has a specific expiration date, shown in the Offer details. Once that date passes, the offer can no longer be redeemed, even if you had previously added it to your Card.
No. To receive a statement credit or points, you must add the Offer to your Card before making the qualifying purchase(s) with that same eligible Card. Purchases made prior to enrollment do not qualify.
If you return, cancel, or receive a refund for your qualifying purchase(s), the statement credit or points you earned may be reversed.
Log in to your American Express account online or in the app and go to the Amex Offers section. Offers you've already added will appear under your enrolled list. For offers redeemed, in the Amex Offers section (online or in the app), there is a saved Offers section which shows your past redemptions and savings.
Amex Offers
To redeem an Amex Offer®, eligible Card Members must first enroll in the offer through their online account or in the American Express® App and then use their enrolled Card to make a qualifying purchase. Only U.S.-issued American Express Consumer and Business Cards may be eligible to participate. Card Members can check their eligibility by visiting the Amex Offers section of their online account. American Express, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to determine eligibility for the Amex Offers program and may revoke access or enrollment if we determine that you have engaged, or are likely to engage, in abuse, misuse, or gaming of the program. Please review the terms of each offer for details on how to redeem. By enrolling in an offer, you agree that American Express may use your transaction and personal information to administer the offer, communicate with you about it, and facilitate your experience in accordance with the American Express Privacy Statement.
