American Express Launches New Partnership with Homebase

At Amex Ventures, we continue to help fuel innovation at American Express by forging meaningful connections between the startup ecosystem and our internal business units as we seek to generate commercial value for startups, investors and our internal business partners. Nearly two-thirds of our portfolio companies have had commercial relationships with American Express, whether through distribution to our Card Members or merchants, co-developing products, or becoming valued enterprise customers. We also actively explore opportunities to collaborate with startups outside our portfolio to expand our impact and help drive innovation across American Express.

 

Our business partners in U.S. Merchant Marketing run the Business Savings Suite, a curated collection of offers that provide savings on solutions designed to support businesses with great offers from a range of brands. The team is constantly on the hunt for new products and services to help small and mid-sized Amex Merchants run, grow and protect their businesses. Given American Express's strong focus on empowering small businesses and the distribution platform provided through the Business Savings Suite, we were so excited when Notable Capital introduced us to Homebase.

 

Homebase is an all-in-one platform designed to simplify workforce management. The platform offers tools for employee scheduling, time tracking, payroll, hiring, onboarding, communications, and more. After meeting the team, it was clear their platform could offer a unique solution and help further our mission to support merchants and businesses.

 

American Express and Homebase partnered to offer businesses 25% off the first 12 months on any Homebase monthly subscription. This offer launched on March 17, 2025 during American Express’s Member Week Campaign – one of Amex’s customer appreciation initiatives – giving Homebase visibility from Amex Merchants while reinforcing Business Savings Suite as a destination for tools built for small businesses.
