Get 3X Membership Rewards® points on flights booked directly with airlines or through Amex Travel and 2X Membership Rewards points on prepaid hotels and other eligible travel purchases (such as car rentals, vacation packages, cruises) through Amex Travel. And when it’s time to cash in, you can use for your next flight or hotel stay with your points when you book directly through Amex Travel.
Hotel Collection Access
When you book a prepaid stay of two nights or more at any property within The Hotel Collection through AmexTravel.com, you can receive a $100 complimentary credit to use towards eligible charges, such as food and beverage, spa, or other on-property charges. Please note the credit use varies by property. Plus, on that same two-night stay, you may be eligible for a room upgrade upon arrival and early or late check-in, subject to availability. Certain room categories may not be eligible for upgrade.
No Foreign Transaction Fees
No need to worry about extra transaction fees when you’re away. You can use the Gold Card abroad without extra charges, making it ideal for international trips.2
Travel Protection Benefits
When you’re traveling, let the Amex Gold Card help protect you so that you can enjoy your trip to the fullest extent. The Global Assist® Hotline provides you with emergency assistance and coordination services when you’re traveling over 100 miles from home. With Baggage Insurance Plan[1], travel more comfortably knowing you can be covered for lost, damaged, or stolen Baggage when you purchase the Entire Fare for a Common Carrier Vehicle ticket (e.g. plane, train, ship, or bus) on an Eligible Card. Coverage can be provided for up to $1,250 for carry-on Baggage and up to $500 for checked Baggage, in excess of coverage provided by the Common Carrier. For New York State residents, there is a $10,000 aggregate maximum limit for all Covered Persons per Covered Trip. Please read important exclusions and restrictions.

- 4X Points on restaurants worldwide, plus takeout and delivery in the U.S., on up to $50,000 in purchases each year.
- 4X Points on groceries at U.S. supermarkets, on up to $25,000 in purchases each year.
- $84 Dunkin’ Credit via up to $7 in monthly statement credits after you pay with the American Express® Gold Card at U.S. Dunkin' locations. Enrollment required.
- Up to $100 Resy Credit in statement credits each calendar year after you pay with the American Express® Gold Card to dine at U.S. Resy restaurants or make other eligible Resy purchases. That's up to $50 in statement credits from January through June and up to $50 in statement credits from July through December. Enrollment required.
- Up to $120 Dining Credit via up to a total of $10 in statement credits monthly when you pay with the Gold Card at Grubhub, The Cheesecake Factory, Goldbelly, Wine.com, and Five Guys. Enrollment required.
