Here’s a close look at how the Amex Gold Card – whether in Gold or Rose Gold color – can help you get the most out of the purchases you make on the things you’re passionate about. Terms apply to all offers and benefits listed below and all offers are subject to change.

Why Do People Choose Amex Rose Gold?

People with a particular sense of style have been drawn to rose gold ever since Carl Fabergé first used it in his famous jeweled Eggs more than a hundred years ago. The copper-infused, pink-hued alloy has come in and out of style ever since given what fans consider its vintage appeal and comforting aura.

But it’s not just the color of the Rose Gold Card that creates its allure, nor just its sleek form factor or the satisfying “clink” when tapped on a counter. The Gold Card’s benefits stand out just as much as its exterior. In fact, one CNBC analysis found the Gold Card to be one of the best credit cards, given its first-class rewards for everyday spending like groceries and dining out and its great travel benefits. And those benefits are the same whether you get the Card in Gold or Rose Gold.

What’s New with the Gold Card?

Rose Gold offers Amex Gold Card Members a stylish option to get those benefits. Here’s a recap of what’s new for the Gold Card:

  • Welcome Offer: Card Members can earn 35,000 points after spending $4,000 in eligible purchases on their card within the first three months of Card Membership.2 That could be worth as much as $600 depending on how you choose to redeem them with Amex or even more if you transfer points to an Amex partner.
  • $120 in Uber Cash Every Year: Gold Card Members will automatically get $10 in Uber Cash every month, up to $120 a year, after adding their Card to their Uber account. Uber Cash can be spent on orders with Uber Eats or rides with Uber in the U.S., your choice.
  • Complimentary Uber Eats Pass: For a limited time, Card Members can get up to 12 complimentary months of Uber Eats Pass Membership.3,4 With Eats Pass, you get unlimited $0 Delivery Fee, plus 5% off orders over $15 at eligible restaurants. Card Members must enroll by December 31, 2021.

How to Use Uber Cash

What Is Uber Cash?

Uber Cash is a payment option that can be used to pay for Uber Eats and Rides in the U.S.

How Does Uber Cash work?

If you add an American Express Rose Gold or Gold Card to your Uber account, $10 in Uber Cash will be deposited into your Uber account every month. Otherwise, you can purchase Uber Cash within the Uber app or redeem Uber Cash through gift cards. You can check your Uber Cash balance by choosing “Wallet” from the menu in the Uber app. Uber Cash doesn’t expire, and orders purchased with Uber Cash cost the same as using any other payment method.

How to Use Uber Cash

Using Uber Cash is fairly straightforward:

  1. Log into your Uber app and create an order.
  2. On the checkout screen, select “Uber Cash” as your payment method.
  3. Review and place your order.

If you don’t have enough Uber Cash to cover the cost of your purchase, you can cover the remainder with your default payment method.

Gold Card Benefits and Perks
