Cancel your hotel booking
1. Go to Manage My Trips to view your bookings.
2. In Upcoming, choose the itinerary you wish to cancel.
3. Select Cancel This Reservation.
- If you do not see the Cancel This Reservation button in your itinerary, please chat with us, when available, by clicking the chat icon at the bottom-right corner of this page. Otherwise, call the number on the back of your Card.
- American Express Travel Online doesn't charge a cancellation fee, but additional hotel penalties may apply.

Change your hotel booking
1. Go to Manage My Trips to view your bookings.
2. In Upcoming Trips, choose the hotel itinerary you wish to change.
3. Click Change Dates.
Alternatively, if the Change Dates button isn’t showing on your itinerary page, or to make any other kind of change, you must either cancel and rebook your reservation or contact us for assistance. Chat with us, when available, by clicking the chat icon at the bottom-right corner of this page. Otherwise, call the number on the back of your Card.
- American Express Travel Online doesn't charge a change or cancellation fee, but additional hotel penalties may apply.
- Some hotels may impose non-refundable rate plans or fees that we are required to pass on to you.
- Penalty fees are highest when cancellations occur within 48 hours of your scheduled check-in date.

- Some hotel rooms are fully refundable, while others cannot be changed or cancelled.
We cannot guarantee the same room type or rates as your original reservation.
- We recommend you make changes as early as possible.

Add loyalty number or special request to your hotel booking
1. Go to Manage My Trips to view your bookings.
2. In Upcoming Trips, choose the hotel itinerary you wish to change.
3. Click Edit Traveler Details, then either add details to Edit Loyalty Number or type within the Edit Special Requests box.
4. Be sure to Save the details entered before leaving the itinerary page.
- American Express Travel Online doesn't charge a change fee for adding loyalty number or special request to a hotel booking, but the requests are not guaranteed, and additional charges may apply at the hotel.
- We recommend confirming your request with the hotel prior to arrival.
