You may already enjoy The Hotel Collection for its handpicked array of hundreds of properties, selected for quality. Now, there’s even more to love as The Hotel Collection enters its next phase,  with more upscale hotels in desirable destinations, chosen for you. 

 

What new benefits and properties are in the programme?

With the growth of The Hotel Collection*, you will have more options than ever to help you find a rewarding place to stay. Three hundred new properties are joining the programme, bringing the total number of hotels and resorts to over 1,000. These additions include new locations for The Hotel Collection, like Easter Island, Porto Ercole in Tuscany, and Isla Holbox and Monterrey in Mexico, as well as more properties in some of our Cardmember’s favourite locations, including London, Las Vegas, and Miami. All properties in The Hotel Collection now provide two exciting new benefits for Platinum® and Gold Card Members, designed to help maximise your stay:

    • NEW: 12pm check-in, when available

    • NEW! Late check-out, when available

    • $100 USD credit towards eligible charges1

    • Room upgrade upon check-in, when available

How do we curate which properties to add to The Hotel Collection?  

The addition of new hotels to The Hotel Collection comes in response to Cardmember requests and suggestions. American Express Travel's curation team scours both in-demand and off-the-beaten-path destinations, while considering nightly rates, spa and bath products, on-site amenities, and complimentary extras. We strive for a diverse collection of premium hotels to fit a variety of travel styles, including a family vacation, a spontaneous girls’ weekend, and a solo “bleisure” trip. 

Cardmembers can be confident that every property in The Hotel Collection has been vetted to meet high standards, including premium furnishings, dining outlets, and a location that puts you in the heart of your destination. And on top of the excellence that Card Members have come to expect from The Hotel Collection by American Express, we like to find properties that offer a pleasant sense of surprise.
