and set up their own Online Account.
If you’re not able to apply online, call the number on the back of your Card and we’ll gladly assist.
For most American Express Accounts, you can only apply for the same Additional Card as your basic Card Account (excluding The Platinum Card). For example, if you hold The Platinum Edge Credit Card, you can only apply for Platinum Edge Additional Cards.
The basic Card Member is liable for payment of all spend made by Additional Card Members.
You can check the balance of your Additional Cards anytime via your online Account, your monthly statement, or by calling the number on the back of your Card. All spend made by Additional Card Members will be clearly stated on your statement and online Account.
All points earned from the spend made by Additional Card Members will be directly credited to the basic Card Member’s account (provided you are enrolled in a rewards program). Both the basic and Additional Card Members will earn points at the same rate.
You can have up to four Additional Card Members connected to your basic Card Account.
The Additional Card will be delivered to the basic Card Member via post, within 3-5 business days of the application being approved. Once received, Additional Card Members should activate their Card by creating their own unique login at americanexpress.co.nz/register and register for Online Services to be able to manage their Card (online or via the Amex App).
