Why does my points balance not reflect the amount I spent in my statement?

Your Membership Rewards statement period may not match your Card statement. If there are charges on the Account after the statement cut off, they will be reflected in your next statement, not your current one. 

 

Alternatively, you can log in to your Online Account or the Amex App to view your up-to-date balance instantly. 

 

The rate at which you earn points also varies on the type of Card you have.
