When can I purchase American Express Travel Insurance?

You can purchase Single Trip or Annual Multi-Trip American Express Travel Insurance anytime up to the day your trip begins. If you’ve already started travelling, you can still purchase an Annual Multi-Trip policy, however, coverage will only apply to future trips that start after the purchase date.

Both polices provide coverage for non-refundable expenses or reasonable additional costs in the event of cancellation or covered changes to your trip. All other coverage applies to events that occur during each trip*.

• Single Trip Travel Insurance: Can be purchased up to 365 days before your trip begins.
• Annual Multi-Trip Travel Insurance: Can be purchased up to 90 days before your first trip begins and remains valid from12 months from the start date of your first trip, covering multiple journeys within that period.
