Who can pay my American Express bill?

Personal Cards

Payments to your American Express Card Account must come from a personal bank account in your name or if applicable, the name of an Additional Card Member.

Payments can be made from a joint bank account if you, the main Card Member, or an Additional Card Member, are one of the signatories.​

Business Cards

Payments to your American Express^® Business Card Account must come from one of the following:​

1. A bank account in the name of the business associated with your American Express Business Card.​
2. A personal bank account in your name.​
3. If applicable, a bank account in the name of an Employee Card Member.​

Please note: payments can be made from a joint bank account if you, the main Card Member, or an Employee Card Member, are one of the signatories.​

Corporate Cards

Payments to an American Express^® Corporate Card Account must come from a bank account in your name or in the name of your company. 

Payments can be made from a joint bank account if you, the main Card Member, are one of the signatories.
