• To access certain insurance benefits, you need to use your American Express Card to pay for the trip.
• Medical Assistance & Expenses does not apply if aged 70 years or above.
• The insurance excludes cover for pre-existing medical conditions other than those on the accepted conditions list available here.

Purchase Protection
When you or your Supplementary Cardmembers use your Platinum Card, eligible items enjoy extra protection from the moment you buy them.
Up to £2,500 for stolen or accidentally damaged items within 90 days.
If a UK retailer won’t take back an eligible item purchased with Platinum within 90 days, we’ll refund you up to £300.

- Theft of electronic items and equipment.
- Secondhand items.
- Maximum £20,000 in a 12-month period.

Refund Protection
Up to £300 per item if a UK retailer will not take back an eligible item purchased on the Card Account within 90 days of purchase.
