Terms and Conditions
1. Amex Presale Tickets®
Cardmembers have access to purchase Amex Presale Tickets for select events and select seats, during a specified period prior to the general on-sale dates for those events. Tickets must be purchased using an American Express® Card. An American Express Prepaid Card cannot be used to purchase tickets. Amex Presale Tickets are sold by and fulfilled by third party ticket sellers (not American Express), and such tickets are subject to the rules, terms and conditions, prices and fees set by the ticket seller, event promoter and/or the venue. Amex Presale Tickets are subject to availability and supply may be limited. Not all seats may be offered; purchase limits and blackout dates may apply. For example, on tickets which are not available for public purchase. Refunds, exchanges, and resale may be prohibited by the ticket seller.
2. Amex Reserved Tickets®
Amex Reserved Tickets may be purchased by American Express® Cardmembers for select events and select seats, during a specified period. Tickets must be purchased using an American Express® Card (including, for example, The American Express Platinum Card®). An American Express Prepaid Card cannot be used to purchase tickets. Tickets are sold by and fulfilled by third party ticket sellers (not American Express), and such tickets are subject to the rules, terms and conditions, prices and fees set by the ticket seller, event promoter and/or the venue. Reserved tickets are subject to availability and supply may be limited. Not all seats may be offered; purchase limits and blackout dates may apply. For example, on tickets which are not available for public purchase. Refunds, exchanges, and resale may be prohibited by the ticket seller.
3. Behind the Scenes Backstage Tours
The National Theatre will run American Express Behind the scenes tours, complimentary for Cardmembers. These tours will be for up to 22 people and are limited to 4 x per Cardmember. These tours will run each Saturday from 5.15pm Children aged 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult. We regret that we are unable to accommodate children under the age of five on Guided Tours, this includes babies and children in pushchairs. Maximum of four tickets per Cardmember.
4. Bars Offer
- Save to Card to get a 10% statement credit when you spend any amount on a GBP transaction in a participating National Theatre Bar by 01/03/2026. Valid every time up to £5 for the first 120,000 Cardmembers to save. Terms, locations, payment restrictions and future communications about this Offer will apply.
- These Offer Terms (including the Offer description above) set out the key terms of our National Theatre Bars Offer. Please make sure you read these together with our General Offer Terms, which contain important additional terms, including information about when statement credits or points can be reversed or lost.
- Statement credits will be awarded for eligible transactions using your Card during the Offer period, as explained above and within these Offer Terms and General Terms. A statement credit should appear on your Card Account statement within 30 days from the date you made an eligible transaction, but in some instances could take longer.
- You can report missing cashback or statement credits by contacting us via the Amex App or by calling the number on the back of your Card. American Express will then take the appropriate steps to resolve your request within a reasonable timeframe.
- By saving the Offer to your Card, you agree to all our Offer Terms.
- Eligible purchases are food and beverage concession purchases made in-person at point of sale at any of the following National Theatre South Bank Theatre Bars: Rennie’s Bar, The Long Bar in the Lyttleton Theatre, Olivier Theatre Bars, and the Dorfman Theatre Bar.
- Offer only applies to spend made in Great British Pound (GBP) on the Card to which the Offer is saved.
- This Offer only applies to purchases on the Card to which the Offer is saved (including where the Card has been added to a mobile wallet). If we send you a replacement Card following any fraud (or fraudulent activity) on your Card, and if the Offer is still available, you may need to save the Offer again to your replacement Card for you to be enrolled.
- Some payments made through certain “payment facilitators” will not be eligible and will not count towards your spend for the purposes of the Offer. A payment facilitator is an intermediary that accepts payments on behalf of the seller of the goods/services. Payment facilitators can include some online payment platforms/marketplaces, and entities that provide certain card acceptance products (such as mobile card readers) to sellers of goods/services.
- If the merchant offers an alternative way to make a payment, such as through a third-party payment facilitator which is not eligible under this Offer, this spend will not be eligible for statement credits and will be excluded from the Offer.
- Transactions that are subsequently cancelled or refunded will not count towards your spend for the purposes of the Offer.
- By enrolling and making a qualifying purchase, you acknowledge that to enable you to redeem the Offer, American Express may share certain transaction data and the first digits of your Account number with the merchant to reconcile and assess the Offer. For more information about how we share your information with the merchant, please review our Cardmember Privacy Statement.
- We will use your personal information such as name, email address, Account number and transaction information to manage your participation in the Offer and to track your spend. Please see our Cardmember Privacy Statement for details of how we use your personal information.
