How do I activate my American Express® Card?

You can securely activate your Card online or through the American Express® App. Once your Card is activated, you can start using it right away.

After you’ve activated your Card, we recommend creating an Online Account. Find out more about Online Services here and the Amex App here.

Manage your PIN

If you haven’t received your American Express PIN yet, you can get it online here or via the Amex App once you’ve verified security. In addition, you’ll be able to change it to something more memorable.
