We kindly ask that you cut your Card, including any Supplementary Card(s) on the account, in half and dispose of them securely.
The American Express CapitaCard Supplementary Card(s) will be discontinued on 1 July 2025. If you have another active American Express Card, you may apply for another Supplementary Card via https://www.americanexpress.com/content/dam/amex/sg/campaigns/pdfs/suppform.pdf.
Yes, you will be able to view your American Express CapitaCard details via existing channels such as Online Services and the American Express® App.
If you have an outstanding balance/credit balance on your American Express CapitaCard account, you’ll continue to receive your monthly Statement of Accounts.
If you do not have any outstanding balance/credit balance on your American Express CapitaCard account, you will receive a final Statement of Accounts.
Once your American Express CapitaCard is discontinued on 1 July 2025, you’ll no longer be able to view and use the American Express CapitaCard on your mobile wallet.
The last date to submit your request for a replacement of the American Express CapitaCard is 20 June 2025. Any requests submitted after 20 June 2025 will not be processed. Please note that any replacement Card(s) issued will also be discontinued on 1 July 2025.
Yes. Renewal Cards for the American Express CapitaCard which have an expiration date before 1 July 2025 will be issued by May 2025. Please note that no renewal Cards will be issued for the American Express CapitaCard that have an expiration date after 1 July 2025.
Offers and Benefits
Yes, you can continue to enjoy the following benefits when you use your American Express CapitaCard until 30 June 2025:
- Earn up to 0.5% rebate (awarded in 1X STAR$®) with every S$1 of eligible spend.
- Earn up to 1.5% rebate (awarded in 3X STAR$®) for eCapitaVoucher purchases.
- Earn up to 2% rebate (awarded in 4X STAR$®) when you spend at participating merchants in CapitaLand Malls in the heartlands.
- Earn up to 3% rebate (awarded in 6X STAR$®) when you spend at participating merchants in CapitaLand Malls in town.
- Earn an additional 5% rebate (awarded in 10X STAR$®) when you spend at participating STAR$® X’tra Partners in CapitaLand Malls.
- Enjoy Complimentary or Privileged Parking per mall, per day across participating CapitaLand Malls when you spend.
Important Note: Please note that April 2025 is the last month to qualify for Complimentary or Privileged Parking in the month of June 2025. Eligible spend on your American Express CapitaCard after 30 April 2025 will not qualify for this benefit and new registrations for this benefit will not be accepted.

- Receive a complimentary 1-year Silver tier membership and a 15% one-time room discount voucher when you sign up for Ascott Star Rewards (ASR) membership or log in to your existing ASR account here. Successful members on ASR Silver membership have 12 months (starting from the date members are enrolled) to spend S$1,000 to maintain the tier. The 15% one-time room discount voucher is automatically issued upon activation of ASR membership upon sign up or log in and will be valid for six months from the date of issuance.
No, transactions made on your American Express CapitaCard on or after 1 May 2025 will not qualify for Complimentary and Privileged Parking because this benefit will cease after 30 June 2025. Please note that April 2025 is the last month to qualify for Complimentary or Privileged Parking (please refer to the previous
question for more details).
Parking benefits will be discontinued after 30 June 2025, meaning there will be no reimbursement for parking charges on or after 1 July 2025.
If you’re eligible for any Complimentary or Privileged Parking up until 30 June 2025 and have questions about your parking charges, please contact us by 31 August 2025. In the event of a system glitch, reimbursement will strictly be in the form of STAR$® at the sole discretion of Capita Card Pte. Ltd. No additional or other compensation will be given.
You’ll continue to earn STAR$® for eligible purchases of goods and services until 30 June 2025. All STAR$® earned will be credited directly into your CapitaStar account after your billing statement date. Once your Card is discontinued on 1 July 2025, you can continue to view your STAR$® transfers and balances in your CapitaStar account that is associated with your Card. Please contact us by 31 August 2025 if you have any STAR$® questions.
If you have saved an Amex Offer on your American Express CapitaCard, the applicable bonus/reward should appear on your billing statement within five business days from the date of qualifying spend. Please note that all Amex Offers saved to the American Express CapitaCard will be discontinued on 1 July 2025, and the applicable bonus/reward will not be applied after this date.
Yes, if you’ve enrolled on or before 30 June 2025, you’ll be entitled for the complimentary 1-year Silver tier membership 12 months starting from the date you’ve enrolled and you’ll need to spend S$1,000 to maintain the tier. You’ll need to sign up for ASR membership or log in to your existing ASR account here.
Successful members on ASR Silver membership will be able to enjoy the complimentary 1-year Silver tier membership 12 months starting from the date you’ve enrolled and you’ll need to spend S$1,000 to maintain the tier.
The 15% one-time room discount voucher is automatically issued upon activation of ASR membership upon sign-up or log-in here and will be valid for six months from the date of issuance. This voucher is applicable to use at ASR participating properties via Ascott Brand Website https://www.discoverasr.com.
If you’ve already activated the ASR membership, the expiry will be indicated on the 15% one-time room discount voucher displayed on account, which is six months from the date of issuance.
If you have activated the ASR membership on 30 June 2025, the 15% one-time room discount voucher will be valid from six months from 30 June 2025.

Any recurring payment arrangements linked to your American Express CapitaCard, including Supplementary Card(s), will be discontinued on 1 July 2025. Please make alternative payment arrangements with your service providers to prevent any disruptions.
Yes, you may make payment via existing channels (such as Interbank GIRO, Internet Banking, Electronic Payment via AXS and PayNow QR Code) even after your Card is discontinued on 1 July 2025. Please settle any outstanding balances promptly by the due date as indicated on your statement to avoid incurring late payment fees.

For credit limit reallocation, you can either call our Customer Service team (go.amex/sgcontactus) who will assist you with your request or log in to your online account at americanexpress.com/en-sg/account/login and select “Transfer Credit Limit from Another Card” under “Account Management” before 30 June 2025. Please note that Credit Limit Reallocation is offered solely at the discretion of American Express as per the Bank’s internal criteria.
We will not be able to assist with such requests on or after 1 July 2025. We strongly recommend that you call our Customer Service team (go.amex/sgcontactus) before 30 June 2025 to assist you and prevent any disruptions.
You may continue to make the minimum payment on your existing American Express CapitaCard account until the balance has been paid in full.
Please call our Customer Service (go.amex/sgcontactus) and provide your bank account details to process the refund. The amount will be refunded to you via a bank transfer.
