The secluded English Heritage Japanese garden dates back to 1910 and is one of the earliest Japanese gardens in England. A plethora of beautiful water features and footpaths to explore.
Rooms and suites feature classic contemporary décor with views of the grounds. Many accommodations include original details, including marble fireplaces, and all bathrooms feature Italian marble and deep soaking tubs. Spacious suites are individually designed with large seating areas.
The award-winning Shaun Rankin at Grantley Hall presents set, multi-course tasting menus for dinner and Sunday lunch. The restaurant showcases locally grown and sourced ingredients, with many herbs and vegetables grown in the Kitchen Garden. EightyEight is set beside the Japanese Gardens and serves pan-Asian cuisine crafted with Yorkshire produce for a unique experience. Fletchers Restaurant offers a casual, all-day dining experience and serves British and European cuisine. Dine alfresco under the covered terrace at Norton Courtyard or enjoy relaxed libations and dining in The Orchard.
Three Graces Spa boasts an indoor swimming pool, indoor/outdoor hydrotherapy pool and thermal experiences including the sauna, steam room, and snow room. The tranquil relaxation area offers direct access onto the terrace. The spa offers a full menu of body treatments, massages, facials, holistic therapies, and beauty treatments. ELITE Gym offers state-of-the-art equipment, spinning, yoga and Pilates studios, and personal training. The fitness center also boasts specialist equipment, including a cryotherapy chamber, altitude training facilities, underwater treadmill, and more.
Enjoy a quintessential English game of croquet on the beautifully manicured grounds, or stroll through the English and Japanese Gardens. Explore the surrounding countryside by bicycle or on foot, with trails for all levels. Enjoy a bespoke wine tasting experience with the head sommelier.
