Lupaia

The property consists of five restored farm buildings, some of which date back to 1622, and is surrounded by olive trees and vineyards. The 12 guest rooms and suites are decorated individually and showcase rustic charm such as exposed beams, vintage furniture, and brickwork. Bathrooms are contemporary and some feature clawfoot tubs and outdoor showers.

The wood-beamed, cozy restaurant is the heart of the hotel, and the menu changes daily depending on what’s fresh and in season. Ingredients such as herbs, fruits, vegetables, and olive oil are provided by the estate’s gardens. Expect classic Italian fare showcasing fresh produce, truffles, and local meats and cheeses.

Spend the day lounging by the infinity pool which is surrounded by rosemary and lavender bushes, or relax in the heated jacuzzi. Break a sweat in the small gym which can be reserved for private use. Massages and beauty treatments can be arranged in the privacy of your own room.

Activities on and off-property include cooking classes, private wine tastings, truffle hunting, guided e-bike tours and picnics. Sample Vino Nobile in Montepulciano and Brunello in Montalcino or head north to Chianti. Explore Val d’Orcia, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
