What Is Priority Pass?

Priority Pass is a global airport lounge access program that provides travelers with a comfortable space to relax before or between flights. These lounges allow members to enjoy amenities such as:

While members can enroll in Priority Pass by visiting the Priority Pass website and paying for a membership plan, certain premium credit cards may offer Priority Pass, as a card benefit. With Priority Pass, you can gain access to the same lounges that you would with Priority Pass membership purchased directly from Priority Pass, however it’s important to note that certain additional member benefits may not be available to Priority Pass members.3

How American Express Card Members Can Enjoy Priority Pass

American Express Platinum Card Members can activate their Priority Pass membership by following a simple process.

 

Upon receiving the Platinum Card, Card Members can visit the American Express website or contact customer service to activate their Priority Pass. Once activated, you may start enjoying the benefits immediately.

  • Fee Credit for Global Entry or TSA PreCheck®Receive either a $120 statement credit every 4 years for a Global Entry application fee or a statement credit up to $85 every 4.5 years for a TSA PreCheck® (through a TSA official enrollment provider) application fee for a 5-year plan, when charged to your Platinum Card. And if you are approved for Global Entry, you will also receive TSA PreCheck at no additional charge.5
  • Fine Hotels + Resorts®The American Express Fine Hotels + Resorts Program allows eligible Card Members to book stays at over 3,100 hand-selected luxury hotels and resorts around the world.6 Plus, when you use Platinum to book Fine Hotels + Resorts through American Express Travel®, you can receive a suite of benefits with an average total value of $550 per stay7, like daily breakfast for two, guaranteed 4pm check-out, and more.
  • $600 Hotel Credit: Make your next trip even more memorable with over 3,100 hotels to choose from, all handpicked with high standards. Get up to $300 in statement credits semi-annually, for up to a total of $600 each calendar year, on prepaid Fine Hotels + Resorts or The Hotel Collection8 bookings through American Express Travel when you pay with your Platinum Card.
