1. The Contest

1.1. American Express Platinum Collections Contest (“Contest”) is organized by American Express International Inc., Singapore Branch (“Amex”).

1.2. The Contest period shall be from 26 October 2020, 0000 hours to 3 January 2021, 2359 hours, both dates inclusive (the “Contest Period”). All times are Singapore time (+8 GMT). The Contest Period will be split into 10 weeks as follows:

1.3. Amex will print the question – “What fond memories surface when you look at the art piece on this limited edition mask holder?” (the “Contest Question”) – on the mask envelopes, distributed to customers who visit the participating partners (please refer to amex.co/sgplatcollections for updated list of participating partners), for individuals to answer during the Contest Period. 

1.4. By participating in this Contest, the participant agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, the official rules, regulations and decisions of Amex. Failure to comply with the Terms and Conditions will result in the disqualification of the participant from the Contest.

2. Eligibility

2.1. To be eligible to participate in the Contest, the individual must fulfill the following criteria:

i. Not be an employee of Amex, its advertising agencies, its subsidiaries, the immediate families of its employees and/or any other parties who are directly involved in organizing, promoting or conducting the Contest as determined by Amex in its sole and absolute discretion.

ii. Is an active basic or supplementary The Centurion^® Card, The Platinum Card^®, The American Express^® Platinum Reserve Credit Card or Platinum Credit Card Member. Card Accounts must be in good standing and not suspended or cancelled for any reason.

3. Mechanics of the Contest

3.1 To participate in the Contest, individuals who satisfy Clause 2 above (the “Qualifying Participant(s)”), are required to:

i. Post a picture of the mask envelope with their answer to the Contest Question on their Facebook or Instagram account and type #amexplatinumcollections,

ii. Screenshot the post,

iii. Email the screenshot with their full name to our contest manager at platinumcollections@aexp.com

3.2. Submissions with incomplete or inaccurate details will not be considered for participation in the Contest.

3.3. Only relevant answer(s), as determined by Amex to be outstanding and interesting, in their sole and absolute discretion, posted by Qualifying Participant(s) will be considered for the prize (“Qualifying Answer(s)”).

3.4. The two (2) winners selected each week will receive a one-time S$50 Voucher. Refer to Clause 5 for more details on the Voucher.

3.5. The two (2) winners of each week will be selected and informed as per the following schedule corresponding to the 10 weeks of the Contest Period states in Clause 1.2.:

3.6. Each Qualifying Participant is allowed to submit multiple entries subject to each entry meeting the requirements in Clauses 3.1., 3.2. and 3.3.

3.7. Each Qualifying Participant can only win once during the entire Contest Period.

3.8. Submissions made will only qualify for the week it was submitted and will not be counted in subsequent week(s).

3.9. Participants are solely responsible and liable for the comments made under their name, username, email address, Facebook and/or Instagram account profile.

4. Notification

4.1. Amex reserves the rights to render the Qualifying Answer(s) into a Facebook post and post it on the American Express Singapore Facebook Page.

4.2. By participating in the Contest, participants agree to Amex using, publicizing and posting their name, in the notification for the purposes of this contest in such mode and manner as Amex considers fit.

4.3. All winners will be informed that they are eligible to claim their prize by Amex via their email sent through to platinumcollections@aexp.com. Winners will be required to respond to the email and provide their mobile number (Singapore-based) to be contacted for verification purposes. Amex reserves the right to replace the original winners who are uncontactable, disqualified, or deemed ineligible. 

4.4. Winners of the Contest are required to respond to the email as per Clause 4.3. to platinumcollections@aexp.com by the following dates corresponding to the 10 weeks of the Contest Period stated in Clause 1.2.: 

4.5. Amex will contact winners via the mobile number provided to verify and communicate with the winners. Winners must provide their Card Number (15 digit) when an Amex employee gets in touch with them via phone for verification purposes. Emails sent to platinumcollections@aexp.com are for Contest purposes and fulfilment of prize only. All email addresses and contact details will not be stored in Amex Marketing database. 

4.6. Winners of the Contest are required to respond to the call as per Clause 4.5. by the following dates corresponding to the 10 weeks of the Contest Period stated in Clause 1.2.: 

If the required information is not provided within the stipulated timeframe, winning entry may be forfeited as determined in the sole and absolute discretion of Amex. Amex will not be liable to provide any form of compensation to such winner(s).

4.7. Amex reserves the rights to select reserve Qualifying Participants to replace the original winner(s), if he or she is subsequently disqualified or have failed to provide the required information to Amex pursuant to Clause 4.6.

5. Vouchers

5.1. The Voucher(s) will be sent to winners’ registered mailing address with Amex in the form of a redemption letter within 25 working days from successful collection of required information as per Clause 4.6.

5.2. All Voucher(s) must be utilized in accordance with, and subject to, any applicable Terms and Conditions, including those that may be imposed by the relevant third parties.

5.3. To redeem the Voucher(s), winners must adhere to the Terms and Conditions of the Voucher(s) which will be provided on the redemption letter.

5.4. Please refer to amex.co/sgplatcollections for the full list of Participating Restaurants for Voucher(s) redemption.

5.5. The Voucher(s) are only valid for four (4) months from the date it is issued.

5.6. The Voucher(s) will be awarded once only.

5.7. The Voucher(s), or any part thereof, shall not be transferable, exchangeable or substituted for cash or other benefits. 

6. General

6.1. American Express Platinum Collections Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook or Instagram.

6.2. By providing Amex with personal information, Participants consent to Amex collecting, using and disclosing his/ her respective personal information to facilitate his/her participation in the Contest. By participating in the Contest, Participants agree to co-operate with and participate in any advertising or publicity activities of Amex relating to the Contest. Participants also agree that Amex may publicize his/her name, and/or photograph in such mode and manner as Amex considers fit.

6.3. Amex is not liable for any loss, claim or liability whatsoever suffered or incurred by any person including indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential damages of any kind in connection with or arising out of this Contest. Amex is not liable for any error in computing chances, any breakdown or malfunction in any computer system or equipment, any notice which is misdirected or lost in the post or any other causes beyond the reasonable control of Amex.

6.4. Amex reserves the right to vary, delete or add to any of the Terms and Conditions of the Contest at any time at its absolute discretion without notice, including without limitation, the right to replace the vouchers with another of similar value. In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and any brochure, marketing or promotional material relating to the Contest, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.

6.5. Amex reserves the right to cancel, terminate or suspend this Contest at any time in its sole discretion without notice.

6.6. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by Singapore laws and the Singapore courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction for any disputes arising from these Terms and Conditions.
