Terms and Conditions 

The promotion is valid for Basic American Express^® CapitaCard Members (“Card Member”) only.

1.   The Contest

i.       Amex will be posting a BINGO grid on the American Express Singapore Facebook page for individuals to attempt and submit (Referred to as “BINGO Challenge”) during the Challenge Period.

ii.      The CapitaCard BINGO Bonus Challenge (“Challenge”) is organized by American Express International Inc., Singapore Branch (“Amex”).

iii.     By participating in this Challenge, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, the official rules, regulations and decisions of Amex. Failure to comply with the Terms and Conditions will result in the disqualification of the Participant from the Challenge.

iv.    The Challenge period shall be from 22 June 2020, 1200 hours to 13 July 2020, 1700 hours, both dates inclusive (the “Challenge Period”). All times are Singapore time (+8 GMT).

2.    Eligibility

To be eligible to participate in the Challenge, the individual must fulfil the following criteria:

i.      Be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident, aged 21 and above; and

ii.     Not be an employee of Amex, its advertising agencies, its subsidiaries, the immediate families of its employees and/or any other parties who are directly involved in organizing, promoting or conducting the Challenge as determined by Amex in its sole and absolute discretion.

iii.    Is an active Basic American Express CapitaCard Member in good standing and not suspended or cancelled for any reason.

3.    Mechanics of the Contest

i.    To participate in the Challenge, individuals who satisfy Clause 2 above (the “Qualifying Participant(s)”), are required to send an email with their (a) Full Name, (b) Mobile Number (Singapore-based), (c) Completed BINGO grid with indication of completed row or column, (d) Screenshot or photo of 1 activity from your completed row or column, to our contest manager at amexcapitacard@aexp.com . Submissions with incomplete or inaccurate details will not be considered for participation in the Challenge.

ii.     Only complete submission(s), as determined by Amex as most creative in their sole and absolute discretion, posted by Qualifying Participant(s) will be considered for the Prize  (“Qualifying Answer(s)”).

iii.    There will be twenty (20) winners with the Qualifying Answer chosen by Amex, in their sole and absolute discretion, for the BINGO Challenge to receive a one-time 50,000 STAR$^® each (the “Prize”).

iv.    Each Qualifying Participant may submit as many entries as they wish, as long as each entry complies with the requirements in Clause 3(i). However, each Qualifying Participant is only entitled to win once per BINGO Challenge, regardless of the number of entries submitted.

v.    Prize is not transferable, exchangeable and cannot be substituted for cash or other benefits.

4.    Notification

i.    Amex reserves the right to render the Qualifying Answer(s) into a Facebook post and post it on the American Express Singapore Facebook page.

ii.    By participating in this Challenge, Participants agree to Amex using, publicizing and posting their name, in the Notification for the purposes of this contest in such mode and manner as Amex considers fit.

iii.    All winners will be informed that they are eligible to claim their prize by Amex via their email sent through to amexcapitacard@aexp.com, followed by a call from an Amex employee for verification and fulfilment purposes.

iv.    Amex reserves the right to replace the original winners who are uncontactable, disqualified, or deemed ineligible.

v.    In order for Amex to contact, verify and fulfill the Prize to the winners, winners must provide their Card Number (15 digit) when an Amex employee gets in touch with them via phone.

vi.    Emails sent to amexcapitacard@aexp.com is for Contest purposes and notification of winners only. All email addresses and contact details will not be stored in Amex Marketing database.

vii.    Winners of the Contest are required to respond to the call as per Clause 4(iii) and 4(v) by 27 July 2020, 1700H.

viii.    If the required information is not provided within the stipulated timeframe, winning entry may be forfeited as determined in the sole and absolute discretion of Amex. Amex will not be liable to provide any form of compensation to such winner(s).

ix.    The Prize will be awarded to the winners within 30 working days from 27 July 2020. After which, all STAR$^® with winners’ American Express CapitaCard will be credited directly to their CapitaStar account after their billing statement date. In order for the Prize to be credited successfully, winners must (a) have a valid CapitaStar account belonging to the American Express CapitaCard Member; and (b) provide the correct first and last name that match with the registered details with CapitaStar.

x.    Amex reserves the right to select reserve Qualifying Participants to replace the original winner(s), if he or she is subsequently disqualified or have failed to provide the required information to Amex pursuant to Clause 4(v).

5.   General

i.    The CapitaCard BINGO Bonus Challenge is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook.

ii.    By providing Amex with personal information, Participants consent to Amex collecting, using and disclosing his/ her respective personal information to facilitate his/her participation in the Contest and crediting of STAR$^®.

iii.    By participating in the Contest, Participants agree to co-operate with and participate in any advertising or publicity activities of Amex relating to the Contest. Participants also agree that Amex may publicize his/her name, and/or photograph in such mode and manner as Amex considers fit.

iv.    Participants are solely responsible and liable for the comments made under their name, user name, email address and/or Facebook account profile.

v.    Amex is not liable for any loss, claim or liability whatsoever suffered or incurred by any person including indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential damages of any kind in connection with or arising out of this Contest. Amex is not liable for any error in computing chances, any breakdown or malfunction in any computer system or equipment, any notice which is misdirected or lost in the post or any other causes beyond the reasonable control of Amex.

vi.    Amex reserves the right to vary, delete or add to any of the Terms and Conditions of the Contest at any time at its absolute discretion without notice, including without limitation, the right to replace the STAR$^® with another of similar value. In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and any brochure, marketing or promotional material relating to the Contest, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.

vii.    Amex reserves the right to cancel, terminate or suspend this Contest at any time in its sole discretion without notice.

viii.    These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by Singapore laws and the Singapore courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction for any disputes arising from these Terms and Conditions.
