If I cancel my Membership Rewards® Account, what happens to the points I haven't redeemed?

If you choose to cancel your Membership Rewards^® Account and do not have another Membership Rewards eligible Card or Checking Account, the points you have not redeemed will be forfeited immediately. You can redeem points prior to cancelling your Account if you do not wish to forfeit those points.

As of December 10, 2023, New York Card Members may be able to redeem for 90 days after notice of Account closure. To learn more about what happens to points upon cancellation for New York Card Members, please review the "Lose Points" section of the Membership Rewards Terms and Conditions.
