BFI London Film Festival 2023

The BFI London Film Festival is back to London for the 67th year, a celebration of the moving image in all its forms bringing together a wide range of audiences.

 

This year’s BFI London Film Festival in partnership with American Express presents a carefully-curated programme 252 titles (comprising features, shorts, XR works and series) hail from 92 countries, and feature 79 languages. And with 99 works made by female and non-binary filmmakers, the festival continues to champion diversity and inclusion in cinema

 

The event has become one of the world’s most prestigious celebrations of cinema, recognising talent, passion and creativity within the film industry.

The festival runs from 4 to 15 October 2023. It’s open to the public, based at the BFIcSouthbank and The Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall, as well as screeningscin iconic cinemas dotted around London and the rest of the UK.

The full line-up has been announced, with this year’s biggest film releases including James Hawes’ latest biographical drama film ‘One Life’, Martin Scorsese’s true crime ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ and Yorgos Lanthimos’ black comedy fantasy film ‘Poor Things’.

  • Explore the festival’s thematic strands. From riotous romcoms and skewering satires to sci-fi and horror movies, this year’s programme has something for everyone. Can’t decide? Films are categorised into strands, so you can pick depending on your mood.
  • Dive into immersive art and augmented reality. Look for the festival’s drop-in immersive experiences and augmented reality walks to experience a new world of storytelling.
