Understanding American Express® Employee Cards

Employee Cards are a helpful tool for staying on top of your business expenses, allowing employees to buy what they need within limits1 you set. Adding Employee Cards can help you have more efficient spending management and transparency for your business. Additionally, you receive real-time alerts2 to help you know who’s spending what and where and earn rewards3 on employee purchases.

From the American Express Business BlueprintTM dashboard, you can conveniently add new Employee Cards, plus view and manage existing ones. Here’s how to do it.

Add Employee Cards

Adding an Employee Card to your dashboard is easy. Simply click the “plus” button near “Additional Cards” to navigate to the page for adding Employee Cards.
