Eligible Card(s):
- This promotion is valid from January 29, 2021 to February 14, 2021, Hong Kong Standard Time, both dates inclusive (“Promotion Period”).
- This promotion is only applicable to Blue Cash® Credit Card from American Express issued by American Express International, Inc. (“American Express”) in Hong Kong (“Eligible Card”).
- During the Promotion Period, Cardmembers can earn extra 0.8% cash back (“Extra cash back”) on local and overseas spending (“Eligible Transactions”) upon spending HK$500 net or above in a single transaction with the Eligible Card. If Eligible Transactions are conducted in a currency other than Hong Kong Dollars, the calculation of Total Eligible Transaction Amount will be based on the amount in Hong Kong Dollars posted in the statement of account after conversion. Monthly instalments of Interest-Free Instalment Program, charges processed and billed prior to the Promotion Period, American Express Card annual fee, Express Cash and other cash services charges, American Express Travelers Cheque purchases, American Express Gift Cheque or Travel Gift Certificate purchases, charges for dishonored cheques, late payment and referral charges, finance charges and any utility gas and electricity payment on American Express Card account and linked accounts are ineligible transactions and will not be counted for Total Eligible Transaction Amount and Extra cash back.
- Each Eligible Card account can receive a maximum of HK$100 Extra cash back throughout the Promotion Period. For the avoidance of doubt, each basic card account and any related supplementary card account(s) will be treated as one Eligible Card account when calculating Eligible Transactions and Extra cash back.
- The Extra cash back earned from this promotion will be credited directly to basic Cardmember’s account within 8 weeks after the Promotion Period (“Redemption Period”). To enjoy the Extra cash back, the Eligible Card accounts must be valid and in good standing throughout the Promotion Period and Redemption Period. Otherwise American Express reserves the right to cancel the Extra cash back without any prior notice.
- Any cancelled/refunded transaction amount within the Promotion Period will be deducted from the Total Eligible Transaction amount when the credit of the respective transaction is reflected in the statement of account.
- Eligible Transactions which are subsequently cancelled, refunded, disputed or unposted will be disqualified for the purpose of this promotion. The Extra cash back will be clawed back from the concerned Eligible Card accounts if the Extra cash back was awarded without prior notice.
- All receipts / sales slips of Eligible Transactions should be shown for supporting when there is necessary.
- The Extra cash back is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash, other products or services.
