Hotels.com “8% off for first room booked” promotion ("Promotion") is valid for reservations made from April 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019 (“Book period”), for stays between April 1, 2019 to March 31, 2020, both dates inclusive (“Stay Period”).
Fulfilment of the Promotion is the sole responsibility of Hotels.com, L.P.
The Promotion is applicable for booking hotels at participating destinations and designated properties made through the dedicated landing page at www.hotels.com/amexhk.
The Promotion is only valid for participating properties listed on www.hotels.com/amexhk. For full list of non-participating hotels, please click here. Participating properties are subject to change at any time.
The Promotion discount is applicable to hotel room charges only (excluding local taxes, service fees, and charges including, without limitation, extra guests, phone calls, cancellation fees, parking, or other charges).
Cancellation fee may apply and may vary by hotel property, see individual hotel property terms and conditions for details.
Property rates and amenities are dynamic and can change depending on the property’s availability and dates selected.
All payments must be settled in full with American Express^® Cards issued in Hong Kong by
American Express International, Inc. (“American Express”) (“Eligible American Express Cards”) in order to enjoy the Offer. American Express Cardmembers settling with the US Dollar Card, American Express Corporate Card, American Express^® Gold Business Card, American Express^® Business Card,
American Express Business Travel Account or Corporate Purchasing Card are not eligible for the Promotion. Cards bearing the American Express name, brand or logo issued by AEON Credit Service (Asia) Co Ltd, DBS Bank (Hong Kong) Limited, Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited or Citibank (Hong Kong) Limited in Hong Kong and all American Express Cards issued outside of Hong Kong are not eligible for the Promotion.
The Promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotions or loyalty programs, including the “Collect Nights with Hotels.com™ Rewards” loyalty program offered by Hotels.com. This means that when you book hotel stays under the Promotion, you cannot collect nights for hotel stays made under the Promotion for the purpose of the Hotels.com™ Rewards program.
The Promotion cannot be exchanged or sold for cash or other products and services.
The Promotion is non-transferable and non-cumulative and cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount, promotions, discounted items, and fixed price items (unless specified).
To be eligible for the Promotion:-
(a) Cardmember must use the Voucher Code (“AMEXYRO”) to enjoy the Promotion discount when a booking a participating hotel on www.hotels.com/amexhk. Prior to the completion of the booking, Cardmember will be able to check if the Voucher Code (“AMEXYRO”) is valid for the respective properties in their booking. The Voucher Code (“AMEXYRO”) is only applicable to the first room in the booking.
(b) Cardmember must make full and upfront payment of hotel charges (prepaid stays) at the time of booking on www.hotels.com/amexhk. If an Eligible Cardmember chooses to only partially pay and/or pay a deposit for the hotel room charges and/or pay the hotel room charges directly to the hotel during or upon the completion of the Cardmember’s stay, the Promotion will not be applicable.
The Voucher Code (“AMEXYRO”) cannot be used for:
(a) Bookings made through Group Travel Services
(b) Bookings paid for at the hotel
(c) Bookings paid for in a foreign currency
(d) Bookings at a non-participating hotels
Cardmember may be asked to present the American Express Card used to make the online purchase for verification purposes during check-in.
Discounts applied may be nulled if there are any reservation changes made after purchase confirmation. Cardmember may be required to be pay for the reservation difference, cancellation or change penalties, administrative fees or other miscellaneous charges (if applicable).
Hotel rooms are subject to availability and minimum night stays might be required and varies by properties. Other rules, restrictions, and blackout dates may apply. Please refer to the specific participating hotel terms and conditions for details.
American Express acts solely as payment provider and is not responsible or liable in the event that such services, activities or benefits are not provided or fulfilled by the merchant. Cardmember acknowledge that any disputes in relation to the above are to be directed solely to Hotels.com, who is providing such services, activities or benefits.
American Express and Hotels.com reserve the right to change the Promotion, and Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Should there be any dispute, the decision of American Express and Hotels.com shall be final.
In the event of any inconsistency between the English and Chinese versions of these Terms and Conditions, the English version shall prevail.
