How to apply for a Credit Card

 

To apply for a Credit Card, follow the below instructions:

 

  1. Submit an application online by filling out the form.

  2. You will receive a notification with an assigned application reference number within 60 secs advising you whether or not your application has been conditionally approved. If you do not receive the 60 secs conditional approval, you will be notified of the outcome via email within 5 - 10 business days. 

  3. Once you receive the conditional approval, you will receive an email notification stating your application reference number and all the required documents for the approval process.

  4. Submit your documents via one of the following 3 methods, quoting your reference number: 
    • Upload them electronically via our Secured Document Upload Site
      https://online.americanexpress.com/docupload/hk 
      Document upload is only applicable to applicants who have received their 60 secs conditional approval and reference number. The link will be provided in the email notification mentioned in Step 3.   
      Note: Size of all files (JPG, PNG, GIF, TIFF or PDF) must not exceed 5MB each. 
    • Fax them to us at +852 2811 7346
    • Mail them to us at:

  5. Once all documents have been submitted, we will proceed with the final phase of application*. You will receive an SMS upon Card approval. 
    *American Express International, Inc. may refuse or decline the application at its discretion without disclosing any reasons. Failure to provide documents requested may prevent processing of the application. 

  6. The approved credit card will be sent to your mailing address provided in the online application within 5 - 7 working days of receiving all the required documents.
