• This Welcome Offer is only applicable to first-time applicants of The Platinum Card issued by American Express (Thai) Co., Ltd. who meet the following criteria:
- Apply for the Card and receive approval from 1st February – 30th April 2023
- Pay the first year annual fee of Baht 35,000 (inclusive of VAT)
• Cardmembers who are existing or have cancelled any American Express Cards issued by American Express (Thai) Co., Ltd. in the last 12 months are not eligible for the Welcome Bonus Offer.
• The 100,000 BONUS Membership Rewards points will be credited directly into the eligible Basic Cardmember account within 6-8 weeks from the month of meeting the spend threshold of Baht 100,000 within the first 3 months of Cardmembership.
• The 100,000 BONUS Membership Rewards points can be converted to 66,666 Miles with Cathay Membership Programme (1.5 Membership Rewards points = 1 mile) which is enough to redeem a round trip business class ticket to Osaka with the participating airline partners. Information is according to January 2023 Cathay Membership Programme as shown on www.cathaypacific.com.
• Cathay Membership Programme reserves the right to impose or change the redemption rates at any time without prior notice.
• The complimentary voucher for one night stay is for the 2023 American Express Platinum Cardmembership benefit which will be delivered to you together with the Card. The privilege includes the breakfast for 2 persons at The Verandah, personal butler service and parking space.
• The complimentary voucher can be redeemed between 3rd January 2023 – 31st January 2024 (both dates inclusive) (the “Eligible Period”), except on the blackout periods: 17th – 19th April 2023, 28th November 2023, 17th – 31st December 2023 and 1st January 2024. The voucher can be redeemed only 1 time throughout the Eligible Period. Effective from 1st April 2023, in the event that the Eligible Cardmember has redeemed the Voucher and subsequently cancelled their Cardmembership during the same Cardmembership year and received the prorated annual fee refund, American Express reserves the rights to charge full price of the redeemed night.
• The Eligible Cardmember is required to present The Platinum Card and the voucher together with his/her national identification
card or passport to receive the privileges.
• Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok reserves the rights in all Terms and Conditions of Mandarin Oriental voucher.
• Spend made by Supplementary Cardmember(s) will be taken into consideration in the calculation of the spend criteria.
• Should the Cardmember ceases to be a Cardmember within the first 12 months of Cardmembership for any reason whatsoever, American Express reserves the right at its sole discretion to deduct the BONUS Membership Rewards points or charge the Basic Cardmember’s Account without prior notice, for the amount of the BONUS Membership Rewards points in proportion to the period that he/she ceases to be a Cardmember.
• The charge of Card annual fee will not be taken into consideration in the calculation of the spend criteria.
• To qualify for this offer, your Card account must be in good standing and not be cancelled for any reason.
• The BONUS Membership Rewards points cannot be refunded, transferred, redeemed or exchanged to cash or other benefits in kind.
• American Express reserves the right to substitute the Welcome Offer with other items of the similar value without prior notice.
• American Express reserves the right to vary or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
• In the event of any dispute arising from this Welcome Offer, the decision of American Express shall be final and binding all related parties.
