•This Welcome Offer is only applicable to first-time applicants of The Platinum Card issued by American Express (Thai) Co., Ltd., who meet the following criteria:
- Applying for the Card and receiving an approval from 1 April – 31 December 2025.
- Pay the first - year annual fee of Baht 40,000 (inclusive of VAT).
- The applicant can select one of the Welcome Offer options as following:

The details of the Welcome Offers are as follows:
OPTION 1: BONUS Membership Rewards points
- The 50,000 BONUS Membership Rewards points will be credited directly into the eligible Basic Cardmember’s account within 6-8 weeks from the month of meeting the spending requirement. Additionally, if the Cardmember accumulates a total spending of Baht 200,000 within the first 3 months of Cardmembership, the Cardmember will receive an additional 100,000 BONUS Membership Rewards points which will be credited directly into the eligible Basic Cardmember’s account within 6-8 weeks from the month of meeting the spending requirement.
- The 50,000 BONUS Membership Rewards points and another 100,000 BONUS Membership Rewards points, in addition - to be a total of 150,000 BONUS Membership Rewards points can be converted to 100,000 air miles with Avios Membership Program (1.5 Membership Rewards points = 1 mile) which is enough to redeem a one-way business class ticket to New York or London or a round-trip business class ticket to Tokyo/Osaka with the participating airline partners. OPTION 2: Statement Credit
- Statement Credit valued Baht 8,000 will be appeared on the eligible Basic Cardmember’s billing statement within 6-8 weeks from the month of meeting the spending requirement. Additionally, if the Cardmember accumulates a total spending of Baht 200,000 within the first 3 months of Cardmembership, the Cardmember will receive an additional Statement Credit valued Baht 17,000 which will be appeared on the eligible Basic Cardmember’s billing statement within 6-8 weeks from the month of meeting the spending requirement.
- Change of the selected Welcome Offer is not permitted once the Platinum Card application is received by the Company.
- Cardmembers who are existing Cardmembers or have cancelled any American Express Cards issued by American Express (Thai) Co., Ltd. in the last 12 months from the date of receiving The Platinum Card application are not eligible for these Welcome Offers.
- If you are holding other Cards issued by American Express (Thai) Co., Ltd., you are required to pay the annual fee for all Cards as per the applicable Terms and Conditions of each Card. Please check for more details at www.americanexpress.com/en-th
- Your new Platinum Card’s credit limit will be shared across all your existing American Express Cards (if any). The total combined credit limit will not exceed 5 times of your average monthly income, in accordance with the Bank of Thailand regulations.
- Spending made by Supplementary Cardmember(s) will be taken into consideration in the calculation of the spending criteria.
- Should the Cardmember ceases to be a Cardmember and/or is considered by American Express not to be in good standing within the first 12 months of Cardmembership for any reason whatsoever, American Express reserves the right at its sole discretion to deduct the BONUS Membership Rewards points or charge the Basic Cardmember’s account for the amount of the BONUS Membership Rewards points or the Statement Credit received in proportion to the period that he/she ceases to be a Cardmember.
- In the event that the eligible Cardmember has received the Welcome Offer and subsequently, cancelled his /her Cardmembership during the same Cardmembership year, American Express reserves the right to not refund the prorated annual Cardmembeship fee.
- The charge of Card annual fee will not be taken into consideration in the calculation of the spending criteria.
- To qualify for these Welcome Offers, your Card account must be in good standing and not be cancelled for any reason.
- The BONUS Membership Rewards points cannot be refunded, transferred, redeemed or exchanged to cash or other benefits in kind.
- American Express reserves the rights to substitute the Welcome Offers with other offers and to terminate or change the Welcome Offers’ Terms and Conditions at any time in compliance with the applicable laws and regulations.
- In the event of any dispute arising from these Welcome Offers, the decision of American Express shall be final and binding all related parties.
- In the event of any inconsistency or discrepancy between English and Thai versions of the Program’s Terms and Conditions, the English version shall prevail.
