I've built my career through the core skill of interviewing, as a journalist, and periodically as an ethnographic consultant. To date I've held over 2,000 conversations with people about their work; usually I show up with things are going well, or going horribly, and I'm there to ask them about their jobs, their companies, and their goals. It's clear that motivated and intelligent people--the kind that change the world--hunger for careers where their mastery is always expanding, and where work hardly feels like work at all. Where they can beam with pride not just at their title, but when they describe their day-to-day. Those jobs are all too scarce. My goal is to help entrepreneurs find their voice so they can step confidently into business for themselves.
