1. This offer is only available to new American Express Business Gold Rewards Cardmembers. For current or former American Express Small Business Cardmembers, we may approve your application, but you will not be eligible for the Welcome Bonus. Offer subject to change. Account must be in good standing. Points may be deducted if returns are made that put you below the spend threshold. Please allow up to 8-10 weeks after earning your points for your account to be updated. Offer subject to change.
To qualify for a Welcome Bonus of 40,000 points, you must have at least $7,500 in net purchases posted to your account in your first 3 months of Card membership.
2. To qualify for a Welcome Bonus of 80,000 points, you must have at least $15,000 in net purchases posted to your account in your first 3 months of Cardmembership.
To qualify for the additional 40,000 points after 14 months of Cardmembership, one (1) purchase of any amount must be charged to your Card within 14 to 17 months of Cardmembership and subsequently posted to your account. For example, if you reach your 12 months of Cardmembership on January 1, 2024, you would have to make a purchase between March 1, 2024, and no later than June 1, 2024, to be eligible for the 40,000 bonus points.

3. You can redeem Membership Rewards points for a statement credit towards an Eligible Purchase charged to an Eligible Card. All Eligible Purchases: 1,000 points = $10 statement credit. You must redeem a minimum of 1,000 points per redemption. Eligible Purchases include purchases made at American Express merchants and charged to an Eligible Card. Funds advances, fees, balance transfers, Amex cheques and charges for travellers cheques are not Eligible Purchases. American Express may make changes to the types of purchases that are eligible for redemption with Use Points for Purchases at any time without notice. Eligible Cards are Consumer and Small Business Cards enrolled in the Membership Rewards program. Statement credits on your Card Account should not exceed the aggregate amount of the Eligible Purchase(s) on your Eligible Card. You can register for Online Services to view your Eligible Purchases and to redeem online. Only Eligible Purchases posted to your Card Account during the last 3 months, up to 150 most recent Eligible Purchases, will be displayed for redemption. 4. Flexible Payment Options gives you the option to pay a portion of your balance over time, with interest, if you want to. You will only pay interest on charges you choose to pay over time at the Preferred rate of 21.99% applies to your Flexible Payment Option balance. If you have 2 separate Missed Payments in a 12 month period, the Flexible Payment Option rate for your account will be 25.99%. If you have 3 or more separate Missed Payments in a 12 month period, the Flexible Payment Option rate will be 28.99%. These rates are effective from the day the Flexible Payment Option is first available on your account. If you are an existing Cardmember, please refer to your statement for more details on Annual Interest rates for Flexible payment option & Due in full balances.
5. The interest free grace period is 28, 29, 30 or 31 days from the closing date of the current statement to the closing date of the next statement depending on the number of days in the calendar month in which the closing date occurs. The number of interest free days varies based on a variety of factors, including when charges are posted to your account, whether your account is in good standing, and the closing date of your statement.
Interest will not be charged on transactions and you will have an interest grace period of up to 31 days from the closing date on your statement if every month we receive payment in FULL by the next statement date after the transaction first appeared on your billing statement. Payment in FULL means payment of the total new balance shown on your statement which is made up of all charges to your account (including purchases, funds advances, fees and other charges) up to the closing date.
6. Account must be in good standing. Membership Rewards points (points) earned by the Basic Cardmember on all purchases, less credits and adjustments. Interest charges, annual fees, other fees and cash equivalent transactions are not purchases and do not qualify for Membership Rewards points. A minimum purchase of $0.50 is required to earn points. Earn one (1) point for every $1.00 in eligible purchases charged to your card. To qualify for the Quarterly Purchase Bonus, you must have at least $20,000 in net purchases posted to your Card account by the last day of each calendar quarter. Purchases made during a billing period, but posted after the end of the calendar quarter, may not count towards eligible spend for the quarter. If this occurs, that purchase will count towards eligible spend for the next calendar quarter period. For example, if your billing periods are in the calendar quarter from April 1 to June 30, a purchase made on June 29 (transaction date) and then posts on July 1 (posting date), may not count for eligible spend for the April-June calendar quarter. In this case, that purchase will count towards spend in the July-Sept calendar quarter period. Account must be in good standing. Please allow up to eight weeks for your bonus points to be awarded.
7. Account must be in good standing. Membership Rewards points will be earned by the Basic Cardmember on the amount of all purchases, less credits and adjustments. Interest, annual fees, other fees and cash equivalent transactions are not purchases and do not qualify for Membership Rewards points.
8. Global Lounge Collection - Holders of the Business Platinum Card may access participating Canadian and International airport lounges (“Participating Lounges”) on a complimentary basis, upon presentation of the required entry documentation. Participating Lounges may change from time to time. House rules, terms and conditions of Participating Lounges apply. Use of Participating Lounges is subject to availability. Unless otherwise stated, Participating Lounge access cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or benefit and is subject to change or cancellation at any time.
9. Upon authorization by the Business Platinum Card member, Concierge uses its best efforts to source or arrange the purchase of requested goods or services from a supplier. There is no charge for using the services of Concierge, however the Cardmember will be responsible for paying the supplier for any purchases and/or shipping charges you authorize, as well as any other fees or related costs that may apply. Amex Bank of Canada cannot be responsible for the acts or omissions of suppliers, and cannot guarantee successful fulfillment of Cardmember requests in all instances.
10. All references to you means the Basic Cardmember.
11. Membership Rewards points are accepted as payment for a wide range of travel options through American Express Travel Services. Membership Rewards points can be used to pay for new travel purchases, including taxes and surcharges. Membership Rewards points are not refundable. Membership Rewards points have no cash value. Travel selections are based on available space and are subject to terms and conditions of travel suppliers. For car rental companies and hotels that do not accept prepaid bookings, contact American Express Travel Services at 1-800-668-9147 or (416) 868-1888 for details about how you can use your Membership Rewards points.
In order to redeem points for any travel booking, the Membership Rewards Program account must be active and the Card must be in good standing.
If the American Express Installment Program applies to you and you also redeem points for one or more transactions, the Installment Program will take precedence and the credit will apply to your account in the regular course. This could result in you having a credit balance on your account. If you want to reduce the credit balance, you can cancel any active installment plans you may have. See the Installment Program terms and conditions in your Cardmember Agreement for details, if applicable.

14. Referral Program Terms: Your account must be in good standing. If this is a personal or family referral, you agree to only make recommendations to known friends and family members with whom you have a relationship and who have confirmed to you that they want to receive this communication. If this is a referral in the context of your business, you agree to only make recommendations to business contacts whom you know and have consented to receive this recommendation from you. You must not send recommendations to people you do not know. Whenever you reach out to a potential referral, you will only use content we provide. Any additional statements you make cannot be inconsistent with our content and must be truthful, accurate and not misleading. You should not publish or distribute your referral link in locations where the audience is likely to include individuals with whom you do not have a business, personal or family relationship or who may not be interested in the offer. You can only receive a maximum referral bonus of 75,000 per calendar year for approved referrals, which includes eligible referral bonus amounts from both (i) special or limited time referral offers and (ii) regular referral offers in that same calendar year. Referral bonus for each approved referral and maximum annual referral bonus limit may change at any time and if you change card products. Should the referral bonus amount change during the calendar year, you may receive a partial bonus depending on the available maximum bonus amount. 15. The Fixed Points Travel Program applies to return airfares offered through American Express Travel Services Canada or americanexpress.ca/travel. Card account must be in good standing. To be eligible and be presented with this redemption option, you must have sufficient Membership Rewards points ('points') at the time of booking. When booking for multiple travellers on the same itinerary, you must have enough points to cover all travellers.
Under the Fixed Points Travel Program, a fixed number of points covers the base ticket price of eligible flights up to the applicable maximum base ticket price. The flight grid includes the fixed number of points with the corresponding applicable maximum base ticket price required per category.The base ticket price (often referred to by airlines as the base fare) excludes taxes, fees and carrier surcharges. You will be charged for these additional costs and any dollar amount that exceeds the applicable maximum base ticket price. If the base ticket price for an eligible flight is below the applicable maximum base ticket price, the difference: (i) cannot be used to cover taxes, fees or carrier surcharges; (ii) will not be credited to your Card account; and (iii) will not be applied to cover additional costs associated with changes or cancellations. The full cost of the flight, including taxes, fees and carrier surcharges will be charged to your Card upon booking. Within 5-10 business days from the date of booking, you will receive a statement credit for the base ticket price up to the applicable maximum base ticket price.
Example 1: A select route requires a redemption of 20,000 points and the maximum base ticket price is $300. If an eligible flight for this route has a base ticket price of $250 plus $100 in taxes, fees and carrier surcharges (total cost of flight amounts to $350), then you will be required to redeem 20,000 points and will be charged $350; you will then receive a statement credit for $250 (the base ticket price).If you decide to change this booking reservation for a new eligible flight with a higher base ticket price (such as $275), then in addition to all other applicable charges, you will also be required to pay an additional $25 (the difference between $250 and $275) even though the new base ticket price is below the $300 maximum base ticket price.
Example 2: A select route requires a redemption of 20,000 points and the maximum base ticket price is $300. If an eligible flight for this route has a base ticket price of $350 plus $100 in taxes, fees and carrier surcharges (total cost of flight amounts to $450), then you will be required to redeem 20,000 points and will be charged $450; you will then receive a statement credit for $300 (the maximum base ticket price).You are responsible for any additional charges as a result of any changes or cancellations to your booking. Subject to an airline’s policy, a change or cancellation may result in a credit to your Card account and/or a credit with the respective airline. In neither case will the points you redeemed for this flight be returned to you. Flight availability and prices of flights are subject to availability and set by the airlines. Eligible routes are based on the International Air Transport Association airport code classification.
If the American Express Installment Program applies to you and you also redeem points for one or more transactions, the Installment Program will take precedence and the credit will apply to your account in the regular course. This could result in you having a credit balance on your account. If you want to reduce the credit balance, you can cancel any active installment plans you may have. See the Installment Program terms and conditions in your Cardmember Agreement for details, if applicable. American Express can suspend or terminate the Fixed Points Travel Program at any time it deems necessary, and reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions, including but not limited to the flight grid above, at any time.The Terms and Conditions of the American Express Membership Rewards Program will continue to apply. To use your MR Points to purchase eligible items at Amazon.ca, your eligible Membership Rewards program account ('MR Points Account') must be linked to your Amazon.ca account through the enrollment process. We reserve the right to restrict your use of Shop with Points or to un-enroll your MR Points Account by de-linking it from your Amazon.ca account at any time in our sole discretion, including when we suspect misuse or fraud.
17. No Pre-Set Spending Limit on purchases does not mean unlimited spending. Your purchases are approved based on a variety of factors, including your credit history, account history, and personal resources. Proof of resources and security may be required.

Fraud Protection Guarantee - Use the American Express Card online or off, and you won’t be held responsible for any fraudulent charges, as long as you’ve taken reasonable care to protect your account details and PIN. Notify us at once if your Card is lost or stolen, or you suspect it is being used without your permission.
32. Eligible cards will vary by offer and are subject to change. Select Canadian American Express Cards issued by Amex Bank of Canada and cards issued by a licensed third-party issuer (as applicable) are eligible cards for the offer. Air Canada Pay with Points: By participating in the Pay with Points program (the “Pay with Points Program”) using American Express Membership Rewards® (“MR Points”) when making an eligible purchase on the Canadian edition of AirCanada.com or the Air Canada mobile app, you agree to these Terms and Conditions for the Pay with Points Program for Air Canada (“Terms and Conditions”). Eligible purchases include only those flight purchases made directly on the Canadian edition of AirCanada.com or the Air Canada mobile app. RBC travel insurance purchases are not eligible purchases for the Pay with Points Program. You agree that Amex Bank of Canada and its affiliates (collectively, “Amex”) may collect personal information from Air Canada and its affiliates (collectively, “Air Canada”) that you have provided and that is necessary to facilitate your transaction using Pay With Points for Air Canada. Amex may share information with Air Canada regarding your MR Points account for the sole purpose of managing and facilitating the Pay with Points Program using MR Points. This information sharing allows us to determine your card’s eligibility, and Amex may provide Air Canada with information about your MR Points account, including your total MR Points balance. We may also collect information that you have provided to Air Canada so that we can perform our functions with respect to the Pay with Points Program, including processing payments made with MR Points. Neither Air Canada nor Amex will use information provided to it by the other party in support of the Pay with Points Program for any purpose other than as expressly set forth in these Terms and Conditions.
An “Eligible Card” is a valid, Membership Rewards enrolled (a) American Express Consumer Card, (b) Business Card from American Express, or (c) American Express Corporate Card (“Corporate Card”), which must be issued in Canada by Amex. You will only be able to use MR Points if you are the primary account holder of the Eligible Card. In addition, the Eligible Card account must also be in good standing and not in default at the time of redemption. To participate, you must have an Eligible Card and have at least 1 point in your MR Points account. A minimum of 10 points is required to redeem using Pay with Points.
To view your available MR Points balance, go to membershiprewards.ca. MR Point redemption rate will be calculated as determined by Amex and may vary for future purchases.
The total amount for the eligible flight purchase will be charged to your Eligible Card account whether you redeem MR Points towards some or all of the eligible flight purchase amount. When you choose to use MR Points for an eligible purchase, and select “I accept, purchase”, Amex will debit the number of MR Points of your corresponding selection from the Membership Rewards account linked to the Eligible Card. You may select up to the total amount of MR Points required to cover the total purchase amount or up to the full value of your MR Points balance, whichever is less, to the nearest $.01. Furthermore, a statement credit in an amount equal to the dollar amount of your selection will be issued to the Eligible Card account. Please allow up to 2-4 business days for the corresponding statement credit to be reflected on your Eligible Card account. If a statement credit is processed after your Eligible Card account’s billing period, it will appear on your next statement. Remember, the minimum amount due on your Eligible Card account must be paid by the due date.
If there is a processing error with your choice to use MR Points, your Eligible Card will be charged, and the corresponding statement credit will not be issued to the Eligible Card account for your transaction. In this event, if you would like to use MR Points for your transaction, please call the number on the back of your Eligible Card and Amex will be happy to assist you.
Certain transactions on AirCanada.com or the Air Canada app are not eligible for purchases using MR Points in the Pay with Points Program, and these may change at any time and without notice and at Amex’s discretion. If you do not have enough MR Points to pay for your eligible purchase, you can pay for the remainder with your Eligible Card. Your MR Points balance will typically be reduced to reflect the amount of your purchase at the time of your transaction, but in some cases it may not reflect your use of MR Points for pending purchase transactions until the purchase has been fulfilled. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have enough MR Points in your MR Points account at the time your MR Points are ultimately redeemed. If you do not have enough MR Points remaining in your MR Points account at the time they are to be redeemed, you will be required to authorize another payment method. Your Eligible Card will not be charged automatically. MR Points may not currently be combined with other rewards programs to make eligible purchases using your MR Points at AirCanada.com or the Air Canada app.
Returns are subject to Air Canada’s refund policy. If Air Canada accepts a return for a transaction you made using only MR Points, Air Canada will refund the corresponding dollar amount of the purchase to the Amex card account used. If Air Canada accepts a refund for a transaction you made using MR Points and another payment method, Air Canada may, in its sole discretion, credit the return to the other payment method before crediting the corresponding dollar amount of MR Points. Please allow 2-4 business days for the refund to appear on your statement. In neither case will the points you redeemed for the purchase be returned to you. If you no longer have an Eligible Card account, Air Canada may process your refund by providing you with an Air Canada gift card.
If you use a Corporate Card to make a purchase (whether alone or in conjunction with MR Points), you agree that you are using the Corporate Card in accordance with your company’s policy. In the event that a refund results in a credit to your Corporate Card instead of a return of MR Points, it is your sole responsibility to resolve this with your company and you agree to hold Air Canada and Amex harmless in respect of any loss you or the company may incur.

35. 10,000 Quarterly Bonus points - To qualify, you must have at least $20,000 in net purchases posted to your Card account by the last day of each calendar quarter. Purchases made during a billing period, but posted after the end of the calendar quarter, may not count towards eligible spend for the quarter. If this occurs, that purchase will count towards eligible spend for the next calendar quarter period. For example, if your billing periods are in the calendar quarter from April 1 to June 30, a purchase made on June 29 (transaction date) and then posts on July 1 (posting date), may not count for eligible spend for the April-June calendar quarter. In this case, that purchase will count towards spend in the July-Sept calendar quarter period. Account must be in good standing. Please allow up to eight weeks for your bonus points to be awarded.
36. As a Business Platinum Cardmember you are eligible to enrol in complimentary Hilton Honors Gold status. Offer available only to Business Platinum Cardmembers and is not transferable. Earning up to $500 in statement credits is based on the combined total value of current benefits available to eligible Business Platinum Cards: up to $200 in statement credits annually earned for qualifying Card purchases with Dell and up to $300 in statement credits annually earned for qualifying Card purchases with Indeed. Earning up to $500 in additional value does not include the Card’s annual fee. There is no partnership or relationship between Dell and Indeed, and each offer is provided separately.

41. $120 Annual Wireless Credit
Effective October 1, 2023, Basic Business Platinum Cardmembers will have access to the $120 CAD Annual Wireless Credit. Enrolled Cardmembers will be eligible to receive a maximum of $120 CAD in statement credits on spend at eligible National Mobile Service Providers and their wholly owned subsidiaries, as defined by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC), and Sasktel. Eligible Wireless Providers are subject to change and are required to accept American Express Cards in Canada. Spend a minimum of $10 CAD a month, receive a $10 CAD statement credit, up to 12 times in a 12-month period, up to a maximum of $120 CAD. A one-time enrolment is required for the $120 Annual Wireless Credit through Amex Offers and Cardmembers will automatically be enrolled for future redemption periods and do not need to re-enroll. Each month is a separate redemption period. Must first register your Card to the offer and use same Card to make qualifying purchase(s) after registering in order to receive the statement credit. A purchase made during the benefit period prior to registration of your eligible Card for this benefit is not a qualifying purchase.
Any credit not redeemed during the applicable redemption period will not roll over to the following redemption period and will expire. Your Card must be charged prior to the end of each redemption period (the 28th, 29th, 30th or 31st of the respective month, depending on the applicable month) to be eligible for the credit within that redemption period. Purchases made by the last day of the month but charged to the registered Card after that day may not count towards eligible spend for that month (for example, if a purchase is made on or before the last day of the month but charged by the merchant on a date that occurs after the last day of the month or if there is a time difference). This benefit is available to Basic Business Platinum Cardmembers only. If you switch to a new Card product that is not eligible for this benefit, enrolment will be removed from your Card account. If you are no longer eligible for this benefit, due to a change in account status including but not limited to fraudulent flags, suspension, or cancellation, it will be removed from your account.
Valid only on purchases for monthly wireless telephone service charges made directly from an eligible wireless telephone service provider in Canada. Review the list of eligible National Mobile Service Providers, as defined by the CRTC. For more information on the designation of National Mobile Service Providers, please review the CRTC’s regulatory policy. Any purchases from third parties, authorized retailers or resellers, payment account or service of a third party, a card reader attached to a mobile phone and online aggregators, are excluded. Bundled services offered by the above Wireless companies for TV, Internet and VoIP and VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) services may be excluded. Benefit limited to the Card to which the offer is saved and only spend on this Card counts towards the benefit. Transactions made with a Supplementary Card are not eligible for the credit.
Credit should appear on your billing statement within 5 business days from qualifying spend but may take up to 5 months. Credit may be reversed if your qualifying purchase is refunded or cancelled. If American Express does not receive information that identifies your transaction as qualifying for the offer, you will not receive the statement credit.

A statement credit does not constitute a payment and does not satisfy the requirement to pay the minimum due on a credit card. The Basic/Primary Cardmember must continue to make separate payments of at least the minimum due in accordance with the Cardmember Agreement and account statement applicable to their registered Card account.
42. The $200 CAD Annual Travel Credit can only be redeemed at time of booking through American Express Travel Online at americanexpress.ca/travel or by calling Platinum Card Travel Service. Travel booking must be charged to your Business Platinum Card. Account must be in good standing. If you choose to use the Travel Credit, it will be credited to your Card account within 2 business days. Basic Cardmember is entitled to one (1) Annual Travel Credit each year based on Card membership anniversary date, towards a single travel booking of $200 or more, and will appear on your billing statement as “Platinum Annual Travel Credit”. If you cancel your travel booking after redeeming the Annual Travel Credit, you will not be able to use it again in the same year. You can only use one Travel Credit per booking.
43. Business Platinum Cardmembers will receive up to a $100 CAD statement credit when NEXUS application or renewal fees are charged to their account. Business Platinum Cardmembers are eligible to receive up to $100 CAD in statement credits every four (4) years for application or renewal fees for the NEXUS program when charged to an eligible Card. Cardmembers will receive statement credits for their total spend on NEXUS fees rounded down to the nearest dollar, up to a maximum of $100 CAD in cumulative statement credits, per account per four (4) year period, regardless of whether the NEXUS fees are charged on the Basic or Supplementary Card. American Express will not provide additional statement credits once the maximum of $100 CAD in cumulative statement credits have been issued for subsequent NEXUS application or renewal fees charged to the same eligible Card within the same four (4) year period even if the original application is rejected. For existing Cardmembers as of September 26, 2023, the first four (4) year period runs from September 26, 2023 until September 25, 2027. For new Cardmembers after September 26, 2023, the first four (4) year period runs from the initial Card anniversary date until the day before the fourth (4th) Card anniversary date. In either case, each subsequent four (4) year period follows the period that immediately preceded it. American Express has no control over the application and/or approval process for the NEXUS program and does not have access to any information provided to the government by the Cardmember or by the government to the Cardmember. American Express has no liability regarding the NEXUS program. The NEXUS program is run by CBSA and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection independently (without administration by American Express). The NEXUS program is subject to change, and American Express has no control over those changes.
Please allow up to 8 weeks after the qualifying NEXUS transaction is charged to the eligible Card account for the statement credit to be posted to the Card account. American Express relies on accurate transaction data to identify eligible NEXUS purchases. If you do not see a credit for a qualifying purchase on your eligible Card after 6-8 weeks, simply call the number on the back of your Card. Cardmembers are responsible for payment of all application charges until the statement credit posts to the Card account. To be eligible for this benefit, Card account(s) must be active and not in default at the time of statement credit fulfillment.

44. When you apply for a Card through a third-party website, we may share your personal information, including card type, with that third party. The third party may use your personal and aggregated information for offer fulfilment and to improve the effectiveness of its advertising.
