Welcome Bonus
To qualify for the 50,000 Bonus Aeroplan Miles, you must have at least $3,000 in net purchases posted to your account on or before your three month anniversary date. Please allow up to eight weeks from the date the bonus miles were earned for the bonus to be awarded. Welcome bonus miles are not Aeroplan status eligible miles.
Gift Card
To qualify for the $200 Air Canada eGift Card, a total of $6,000 or more in net purchases must be posted to your account on or before your six month anniversary date. The eGift Card will be fulfilled solely by Aeroplan Canada Inc. Please allow up to ten weeks from the date the eGift Card was earned for the gift card to be delivered by email. If an email address is not linked to your Aeroplan loyalty account, the eGift Card code will be mailed to the address associated with your Aeroplan account.
2. Account must be in good standing. You can earn 2 Aeroplan Miles for every $1.00 of eligible Air Canada purchases charged to your Card, and 1.25 Aeroplan Miles for every $1.00 of other card purchases. Eligible Air Canada purchases means only those Air Canada purchases made directly with Air Canada as the merchant or with Amex Canada Inc. (also referred to as American Express Travel Services). It also includes Air Canada Vacations packages purchased directly from Air Canada or from American Express Travel Services. However, not every Air Canada purchase is eligible. The earn rate is 1.25 Aeroplan Miles for every $1.00 in card purchases (and not 2 Aeroplan Miles) if the Air Canada purchase is not made directly with Air Canada or with American Express Travel Services. This may happen if you make an Air Canada purchase:
a. using your card at another merchant or service provider that sells Air Canada goods or services. For example, purchasing (i) Air Canada tickets from an online website other than Air Canada, through a travel agent other than American Express Travel Services, or as part of a vacation package from another merchant, (ii) Air Canada gift cards, or (iii) Air Canada Maple Leaf Club memberships,
b. using your payment account with a third party, and
c. using a third party payment service (such as a card reader attached to a mobile phone).
If you make a purchase through Air Canada with another merchant such as a hotel or car rental booking on the aircanada.com website, it is not an Air Canada purchase and the earn rate is 1.25 Aeroplan Miles for every $1.00 in card purchases (and not 2 Aeroplan Miles). Offer subject to change. Aeroplan Miles are earned on the amount of all purchases, less credits and returns. Interest, annual fees, other fees, and charges for travellers cheques and foreign currencies are not considered purchases and do not qualify for Aeroplan Miles.

Welcome Bonus

Please allow up to eight weeks from the date the bonus miles were earned for the bonus to be awarded. Welcome bonus and limited time bonus miles are not Aeroplan status eligible miles.
Gift Card

Account must be in good standing. To qualify for the 15,000 Bonus Aeroplan Miles, you must have at least $1,500 in net purchases posted to your account on or before your 3 month anniversary date. Please allow up to eight weeks from the date the bonus miles were earned for the bonus to be awarded. Welcome bonus miles are not Aeroplan status eligible miles.
7. Each year, if you reach $10,000 in net purchases on your account before your anniversary date, you will earn 1.25 Aeroplan Miles for every $1.00 of additional net purchases charged to your Card. Each anniversary date, the amount of annual net purchases resets to zero.
8. The $200 CAD Annual Travel Credit can only be redeemed at time of booking through American Express Travel Services or at americanexpress.ca/travel. Travel booking must be charged to The American Express AeroplanPlus Reserve Card. Account must be in good standing. If you choose to use the Travel Credit, it will be credited to your Card account within 2 business days. Basic Cardmember is entitled to one (1) Annual Travel Credit each year based on Card membership anniversary date, towards a single travel booking of $200 or more, and will appear on The American Express AeroplanPlus Reserve Card Member’s billing statement as “American Express Annual Travel Credit”. If you cancel your travel booking after redeeming the Annual Travel Credit, you will not be able to use it again in the same year.
9. American Express AeroplanPlus Reserve Cardmembers can receive one (1) complimentary eligible first checked bag (per one–way route) when travelling on flights operated by Air Canada, under the Air Canada express banner and Air Canada Rouge. An eligible first checked bag is subject to Air Canada’s baggage policies which can change without notice. The benefit is applicable to baggage that complies with the most current Air Canada weight and size restrictions for standard checked baggage and does not apply to flights that already offer complimentary first checked baggage or to oversized/overweight bags. Basic and Supplementary Cardmembers can each receive up to a maximum of five (5) complimentary first checked bags annually based on their respective Cardmembership anniversary date(s). To receive this benefit, Cardmembers are required to show their American Express AeroplanPlus Reserve Card to the Air Canada agent when checking in for their Air Canada flight at the check-in counter. Cardmembers must also include their Aeroplan number on their reservation at the time of booking, or book their Aeroplan flight reward using Miles from their Aeroplan account. The benefit is not applicable if the Cardmember checks in with any other airline other than Air Canada (even if connecting to an Air Canada flight), and is not applicable to companion travelers, including companions travelling on the same reservation as the Cardmember. Please allow two weeks from the date of activating your Card to access this benefit. 10. Basic American Express AeroplanPlus Reserve Cardmembers may redeem 15,000 Aeroplan Miles for one short-haul roundtrip Fixed Mileage Flight Reward in economy class or may redeem 25,000 Aeroplan Miles for one long-haul roundtrip Fixed Mileage Flight Reward in economy class and receive a Partner Ticket for the same itinerary. Travel options vary according to departure city. Miles must be from Cardmember’s Aeroplan account. Limit one Partner Ticket annually based on Cardmembership anniversary date. Subject to availability and capacity control. All bookings must be made through Aeroplan at 1-855-279-3896 and charged to an American Express AeroplanPlus Reserve Card. Aeroplan booking fee will be waived; however, fees and taxes apply. Changes subject to availability, fees and restrictions. An Aeroplan change fee will be applied to each ticket. Aeroplan reinstatement fee applies to cancellations. Not transferable, cumulative or redeemable for cash. Partner Tickets cannot be booked using Priority Rewards. 11. Subject to space availability. American Express AeroplanPlus Reserve and AeroplanPlus Platinum Cardmembers may access the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge, where available, upon presentation of their American Express AeroplanPlus Reserve or AeroplanPlus Platinum Card and a confirmed, same-day departing ticket on a flight operated by Air Canada, Air Canada Rouge or under the Air Canada express banner. Also applicable on same-day departing Air Canada codeshare or select Air Canada partner airline flights. Not valid in conjunction with an airline employee travel ticket or an airline partner pass travel ticket. For a nominal entry fee, Cardmember is permitted paid guests in the lounge, pending space availability. Access is subject to Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge terms and conditions and may not be available due to unforeseen circumstances.
12. Priority PassTM - These Terms and Conditions govern Basic and Supplementary AeroplanPlus Reserve Card participation in and use of the Priority Pass program. Priority Pass is an independent airport lounge access program. All Priority Pass lounge visits are complimentary for the enroled Cardmember only. All guests are subject to a usage fee at the prevailing rate, which is subject to change without prior notice. Some lounges do not admit guests. By enroling in Priority Pass, you agree that you will be responsible for any accompanying guest visits and that your AeroplanPlus Reserve Card will be automatically charged after you have signed for the guest visit and it has been reported to Priority Pass by the participating lounge. Additionally, American Express will verify your Card account number and provide updated Card account information to Priority Pass. Priority Pass will use this information to fulfill on the Priority Pass program. Once your enrolment has been processed, Priority Pass will send you a welcome package, Priority Pass card and a list of participating lounges. For details on how Priority Pass uses your personal information, please refer to their privacy policy at prioritypass.com. Once enroled, AeroplanPlus Reserve Cardmembers whose Card account is not cancelled may access participating Priority Pass lounges by presenting their Priority Pass card and airline boarding pass for same-day travel. In some lounges, Priority Pass member must be 21 years of age to enter without a parent or guardian. Priority Pass members must adhere to all house rules of participating lounges. Amenities may vary among airport lounge locations. Conference rooms, where available, may be reserved for a nominal fee. Priority Pass lounge partners and locations are subject to change. All Priority Pass members must adhere to the Priority Pass Conditions of Use, which will be sent to you with your membership package and can be viewed at www.prioritypass.com. Upon receipt of your enrolment information, Priority Pass will send your Priority Pass card and membership package which you should receive within 10–14 business days. If you have not received the Priority Pass card after 14 business days, please contact American Express using the number on the back of your AeroplanPlus Reserve Card. Priority Pass non-lounge airport experiences such as airport dining credits are only offered in a few select locations. Select locations are subject to change. 15. Account must be in good standing. An additional card is a supplementary card. No annual fee for two supplementary American Express® AeroplanPlus®* Gold cards. Each supplementary card added thereafter $50 annually. Supplementary Cardmembers must be at least 13 years old. Maximum of 9 supplementary cards per account.
16. American Express AeroplanPlus Reserve Cardmembers and American Express AeroplanPlus Platinum Cardmembers may access Priority Check-in, applicable at airports where Air Canada Priority Check-in is available, upon presentation of their American Express AeroplanPlus Reserve Card or American Express AeroplanPlus Platinum Card and a confirmed, same-day departing ticket on a flight operated by Air Canada, Air Canada Rouge or under the Air Canada Express banner. Also applicable for confirmed, same-day travel using Aeroplan Flight Rewards on a flight operated by Air Canada, Air Canada Rouge or under the Air Canada Express banner. Flights operated by other airlines are not eligible.
17. Basic and Supplementary Cardmembers with a valid American Express AeroplanPlus Reserve Card or American Express AeroplanPlus Platinum Card are entitled to access the Pearson Priority Security Lanes ("Priority Lane") during peak airport operating hours. The Priority Lanes are serviced by the Greater Toronto Airport Authority and will be available to eligible Cardmembers. Priority Lanes are located at select departure areas for domestic, transborder, and international flights departing from Terminal 1 at Toronto Pearson International Airport.
