3. Which countries have adopted the Euro as legal currency?
The Euro (EUR) is now legal currency in member countries of the European Monetary Union (EMU). This includes:
Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia and Spain (including Canary and Balearic Islands).
If you are travelling to any of these countries it is recommended that you take Euros in the form of a mixed travel money wallet consisting of a combination of Cash, an American Express GlobalTravel Card and American Express Travellers Cheques.
4. Do I have to be an American Express Cardmember to buy Travel Money from American Express Foreign Exchange?
No, all travellers can take advantage of American Express products and services.
5. Can I pay for my foreign exchange transaction with my American Express Card?
No. All online orders must be paid for via BPAY through your financial institution.
6. How do I redeem my Membership Rewards points for travel money?
Redeeming Membership Rewards for foreign currency is only available in American Express Foreign Exchange branches. Points are calculated on AUD equivalent. Please review the full Terms and Conditions.
7. What fees do American Express charge?

8. Do you charge to buy back currency I have not used?
Yes. If you need to return your unused currency visit any American Express branch and we will buy back your currency at the current day’s exchange rate. A standard fee will be charged.
9. Can American Express help me if I lose my American Express Travellers Cheques and Australian passport?
Yes. American Express will help Travellers Cheques customers in Australia replace not only their lost or stolen Travellers Cheques but also help replace their lost or stolen passports. Telephone the Travellers Cheques Service Centre 24 hours a day, 7 days a week(local telephone numbers are provided with the cheques) to get details for the nearest Australian consulate or embassy.

10. What happens if the currency I request is unavailable?
American Express gives you convenient and reliable access to a large range of foreign currencies. In the unlikely event that we are unable to supply you with the currency you require we will contact you via email and discuss your options.
11. How do I pay for my order?
BPAY®. When you complete the order form, you will be presented with your total amount, a transaction reference number and the American Express BPAY® Biller Code. Alternatively BPAY® provides a telephone payment service. Just have the amount, transaction number and American Express BPAY® Biller Code recorded and call your phone banking service to complete your transaction.
12. Where can I collect my order from?
Orders can be collected at any American Express Foreign Exchange branch and all participating Australia Post retail outlets Australia-wide. Please note: If your order includes an American Express GlobalTravel Card, collections must be made at an American Express Foreign Exchange branch.Click here for a list of branch locations.
13. When can I collect my order?
When you place your order online and select your location for collection, the site will indicate the appropriate collection date. If you place your order before 4pm AEST we must receive your payment via BPAY® by 4pm AEST to meet your indicated collection date. If your payment is received after this time please add an extra business day to your collection date.
14. Can I send someone else to collect my order?
No, the branch will not issue your order to a third party under any circumstances.
15. What are the limits to ordering Travel Money online?
