Like a reward but don’t have enough points?

Simply use some of your points towards your selected reward, then make up the difference with a payment on your Card.

Recognising your membership

The longer you’ve been a member, the bigger the discount. Simply check your American Express Card and you’ll find a ‘Member Since’ year, which entitles you to the following discounts:

Member Since 1970s 20% saving
Member Since 1980s 15% saving
Member Since 1990 - 1995 10% saving
Member Since 1996 - 2000 5% saving

Terms and Conditions

1. Subject to your account remaining in good standing.
2. To redeem Membership Rewards points for points in an airline rewards partner program or frequent guest partner program, you must be enrolled in Membership Rewards Ascent, and be a member of the respective partner program. (Please note: Points redemptions for points in the Qantas Frequent Flyer program are not available to Cardmembers that have joined Membership Rewards Ascent since 1 August 2008.) Membership of the partner program is the Cardmember's responsibility and is subject to the terms and conditions of that program. A joining fee may apply. Once your points have been redeemed they cannot be reversed and are subject to the partner program terms & conditions.
3. Gift Card is issued subject to the terms and conditions of the Gift Card issuer.
4. Points for Credit is not available for redemption by Corporate Card accounts.
5. If redeeming with Points + Pay, the 'Pay' component of your reward will be automatically billed to your Primary Card Account and will appear on the first billing statement following redemption.
