How do I enter the Competition?

How many winners will be drawn?
There will be 10 winners drawn in January who will win 1 million Qantas Points, Velocity Points or Membership Rewards points each (as applicable, according to the points program the entrant has elected for their Eligible Card used to make the winning Eligible Transaction).
Is there a fee to enter the draw?
There is no fee to enroll in the competition however there is a minimum transaction amount of AU$1 at a participating Shop Small business required to enter the draw.
How will the winners be notified?
The winning Card Members will be contacted via third party Engage Australia, via email, prompting them to accept their prize. Following this, Engage Australia will follow up with a reminder email one week later and a maximum of three phone calls. If the Card Member still has not accepted the prize after these follow up attempts, there will be a redraw.
How will the 1 million points be awarded to winning Card Members?
The points prize will be awarded to their existing American Express loyalty account for the relevant eligible Card within 28 days of being notified of winning their prize and accepting.
How many times can I win the lucky draw?
Only one (1) prize of one (1) million Membership Rewards points, Velocity Points or Qantas Points can be awarded per person. Eligible Entrants cannot win more than once for Eligible Transactions made on multiple registered Eligible Cards. If an Eligible Entrant is drawn as a winner more than once (including multiple Eligible Card entries), there will be a redraw conducted (excluding SA residents).
Are Additional Cards eligible?
Eligible Additional Card Account spend will be counted as entries provided the entry and eligibility criteria has been met, however, only the Primary Card Member can be drawn as a winner and points will only be awarded to the Primary Card Account.
Will I receive notification upon my draw entry?
No, notifications will not be sent. Once Card Members complete the Competition enrolment form, all eligible transactions over AU$1 at participating Shop Small businesses will earn an entry into the draw.
Will I receive multiple email confirmations if I shopped at different participating Shop Small businesses?
Will I receive multiple email confirmation if I shopped at the same participating Shop Small business for different purchases/receipts?
Will I be notified about my entries into the Competition?
Competition enrolment is confirmed upon completion of the Competition enrolment form. You will not be notified at any point about your draw entries based on spend during the Competition.
Is there a limit to the number of entries into the Competition?
No, you can make multiple entries via eligible transactions but can only win once.

My Card was lost/ stolen/ replaced;do I need to re-enter the Shop Small Competition?
Yes, if your Card Account details have changed, you will need to re-enter your new eligible Card details via the Competition enrollment page during the Competition period.
What if my Card is not enrolled by the Competition end date?
Card Members must register their eligible Card into the Competition between 1 November 2022 - 30 November 2022 and make an eligible transaction by 30 November 2022 to go into the prize draw. Any entries made before or after the promotional period, and before the eligible Card is enrolled in the Competition, will not be considered valid entries into the Competition draw.
Do I have an option to choose between points or cashback?
No, the Competition is a points prize only therefore Cashback Cards are not eligible, and prizes cannot be converted to cash. Card Members must be enrolled in either Membership Rewards, Qantas, or Velocity points loyalty programs to participate in the Competition and go into the draw to win.
