    • 1. What is Membership Rewards?

      Membership Rewards is a customer loyalty program. American Express rewards Card Members that regularly use American Express Cards. The more you spend, the more Membership Rewards points you accrue. These points can be redeemed for a wide variety of travel rewards, shopping rewards and entertainment rewards*. Points can also be transferred to other loyalty programs such as Airline Rewards Frequent Flyer and Hotel Rewards Frequent Guest programs dependent on what reward option you're enrolled in*.

      If you're not a Card Member, click here to find a Card that's best suited for you.

      If you're an existing Card Member, call 1300 363 276 (8am - 6pm, Monday to Friday) to enrol and start enjoying the benefits of Membership Rewards today.

      If you're a Corporate Card Member, you may enrol only if your company has chosen to participate in the program. Speak to your Program Administrator for more details.

    • 4. How do I earn points?

      You earn Membership Rewards points for virtually every dollar you spend on your Card. Simply charge your everyday purchases to your American Express Card and watch your points add up*. See more on earning points.

      Earn Bonus Points and shop with our Bonus Partners. By shopping at one of our Bonus Partners with your American Express Card, you won't just earn Membership Rewards points, you'll earn Bonus Points too.

      Increase your points balance by adding Supplementary Credit Cards. You'll earn Membership Rewards points with all transactions made on the Supplementary Card. Card Members will also share the services and privileges American Express membership offers.

    • 5. How do I redeem my points?

      Redeeming is easy.

      If you're enrolled in online services, visit membershiprewards.com.au and search for your reward, click 'redeem', sign in and proceed through to the confirmation page making sure you complete all mandatory fields.

      If you've received a promotion, you will find a reward code promoted. If you're enrolled in online services, visit membershiprewards.com.au and enter the reward code in the search field, sign in, check the points value is the same as the promotion, click 'redeem' and proceed through to the confirmation page making sure you complete all mandatory fields.

      If you're not enrolled in online services and would like to manage your account and rewards online, click here. Alternatively, call us on 1300 363 276 to have a customer service representative assist you.

    • 6. How do I check my points balance?

      If you are not yet enrolled in online services and would like to view your up-to-date points balance and manage your account online click here to enrol.

      If you're already enrolled, just login to see your points balance on the Summary of Accounts page. For detailed points transactions, go to the My Points page.

    • 7. When are the points allocated to my Membership Rewards account?

      It takes 24-48 hours after the charge has appeared on your account to reflect in your Membership Rewards points balance.

    • 8. Do Membership Rewards points expire?

      There is no expiry for points earned while in the program so long as you are a Card Member, you are enrolled in the program and all your accounts with us are active and kept in good standing and not overdue. If you choose to cancel your enrolment in the program, your points will be forfeited and are unable to be reinstated.

    • 9. What are forfeited points?

      Forfeited points are Membership Rewards points that have been forfeited due to a card payment not being received within 40 days of the statement closing date (for example, your Account is 40 days or more overdue in terms of payment).

    • 10. How do I reinstate my forfeited points?

      You are able to reinstate your points within 90 days of your original statement date or you points will expire. There are 2 options:

      1) click here to reinstate them online; or
      2) call Membership Rewards on 1300 363 276 between 8am - 6pm, Monday to Friday.

      Please note: A fee applies to reinstate your points.
