Yes. Taking another form of credit – such as a new loan or mortgage – or even missed payments on another account can cause your spending power to go down. Other factors, such as gradually increasing your total spending and keeping up with all of your repayments can positively impact your spending power over time.
Just log-in to your Online Account, and the 'Check Spending Power' tool is on your home page right below 'Payment Due'.

If you’re looking to maximise your spending power, you can make multiple payments within your billing cycle. Do this regularly and your spending power will grow faster than you think. Always make sure your payments are made before the due date (this date is marked on your account). Missing payments can lead to a negative impact on your spending power.
You can spend as soon as your account is active. All repayments are clearly marked with a due date. You can make multiple payments at any time within your Billing Cycle, but make sure these repayments are made before the stated due date to help maximise your spending power.
