What is Amex Offers?

Amex Offers is a program designed to create compelling offers from the brands you love that offer great savings in the form of statement credits on your account.

Simply select the offers you want to save to your Card, use your registered Card to pay and see the savings automatically deducted from your statement balance. It’s easy for our Card Members.

Which American Express Cards are eligible for Amex Offers?

Eligible

  • American Express Cards issued by American Express Australia Limited are eligible to participate in Amex Offers by logging into your Online Account at americanexpress.com.au or downloading the American Express App for iPhone or Android.
  • Supplementary American Express Cards or any other American Express Cards you may hold qualify as an Eligible Card only if registered for the Offer separately. Where the Primary and Supplementary Card number is identical only one registration can be made per account.
  • Any valid. Bank issued American Express Cards by the following licensed network partners • National Australia Bank Limited; • Westpac Banking Corporation; • Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited (ANZ); and• Commonwealth Bank of Australia

Not Eligible: American Express Corporate Cards American Express Business Cards that are affiliated with a wholesaler partners, American Express Business Travel Accounts, Government Cards, Corporate Purchasing Cards, Corporate Meeting Cards,Corporate Cards and David Jones Storecard.

B. Saving Offers to Your Card

Where can I find and save Amex Offers to my Card?

There are several different ways you can find and save Amex Offers to your Card.

If you have an eligible American Express issued Card, you can:

  • Online: Log into your Account at americanexpress.com.au and click the ‘Offers & Places’ tab. If you don’t have an online account, you can create one at americanexpress.com.au/register. Once you create your account, new offers will appear in the ‘Offers & Places’ tab once you log in.
  • Mobile: Download the American Express App for iPhone or Android and log in with the same information you use for your online Account at americanexpress.com.au. The offers will appear in the timeline or you can visit the ‘Offers’ tab from the menu
  • Individual Enrolment Page: If the offers are not appearing in your Online Account or the Amex App, you can register your Card for the offers by selecting the offers on the Amex Offers website and completing the enrolment form.

If you have a Bank issued American Express Card as outlined above you can also:

  • Online: Visit Connect to register your Card and find offers.
I received a replacement Card. How do I re-enroll in Amex Offers?

If you have an American Express issued Card: We will automatically update your replacement Card with your information, including your offers. Any Amex Offers that you saved to your Card that are still available and have not been redeemed will be automatically transferred to your replacement Card.

If you have a Bank issued American Express Card: If your Card needs to be replaced, you will have to register your replacement Card again for available offers.

C. Redeeming Offers

How and when will I get the statement credit for my Amex Offer?

A statement credit will generally be issued within 2-5 business days after the eligible transaction, but may take up to 6 – 8 weeks to appear in your account. If you don’t see the credit within these time periods, check to make sure you have done all of the following:

  • Saved the offer to your eligible American Express Card before making your purchase(s) at the merchant
  • Made the purchase(s) with the same American Express Card to which you saved the offer
  • Met the purchase requirements (purchase amount or number of purchases) required in the offer terms to receive the offer
  • Made your purchase(s) before the offer expired
  • Made the purchase(s) at an eligible location (online, in-store, participating location, etc.)
  • Have not returned or cancelled your purchase
  • The purchase of merchant’s goods was not made through a third party. For example through a department store and/or concession store (e.g. David Jones or Myer), online aggregator (e.g. PayPal) or retailer If you have done all of the above and still don’t see the credit within 6 – 8 weeks following the end of the offer period, please call the number on the back of your Card.
If I make a return and a statement credit is reversed, am I still eligible for the Amex Offer?

If you make a purchase and return the merchandise, we reserve the right to reverse the statement credit. If the statement credit has been reversed and the offer has not expired, you can still take advantage of the offer if you make another qualifying purchase and meet the offer terms.

I saved an Amex Offer to my Card but used a different Card for the purchase. Will I still get the statement credit?

No. In order to get the statement credit you must make the eligible purchase using the same Card to which you saved the offer.

I made a purchase before I saved the Amex Offer to my Card. Will that purchase qualify for the statement credit?

No. You must save the offer to your Card first and then make your eligible purchase using the same Card to receive the statement credit.

Does the purchase have to be one single purchase or can multiple purchases qualify for the statement credit?

All offer terms will state the purchase requirements. Some Amex Offers require a single purchase, while others require a minimum total amount spent (one or more transactions). All offers are subject to the individual offer terms and conditions. Please read them carefully. If you have questions, please call the number on the back of your Card.
